Well, I recently "sold" my savage to a fellow basher. I sold it along with all my parts for $200. I probably could have gotten $300-$400 out of it if I really tried, but it's the really old 21 chassis. Ton of upgrades, but we all know what these things are worth after opening the box.

I told the guy not to worry about the money. I was just glad to see someone have fun with it again. I hadn't driven it in about a year and I didn't see myself driving it anytime soon. I could tell it was bugging the guy that he owed somebody something and he asked if I'd help sell his mini-lst on ebay. After I thought about it, I asked him if he'd rather trade it for the savage and then we would be even. He was happy to do so.

I don't know squat about electronic vehicles. I have all the stock stuff, but it has a brushless 8K motor in it with a Tekin ESC. He also had a 1200 MAh 7.2V NiMH pack that he included. It has dynamite upper arms, MIP rear CVD's, MIP ball diffs front/center/rear and aluminum front skid/bumper, aluminum bulkhead braces and 6 bodies. I figured it was worth $200... Even if it isn't, he's happy and I'm happy.

Anyway, here are a couple of body off pics:

Any other recommended upgrades?

Would these packs work well with this?

Olds that is a sweet little rig. But not to burst your bubble on the tenkin thing, that is a tenkin speed controll but the motor is a castle creations. Just a FYI you know. That mini lst is sweet though. I was thinking about geting my dad one for fathers day let us know how it handles.

olds,

if he hasnt done this, u'll want to boil the diff gears. the original mlst's had issues with the wheel hexs and diff gears stripping out. aside from that, i can't think of anything u need to do right away....oh wait, i just remembered. think about upgrading the tie rods and ends. the stockers tend to pop off really easy after the first hard crash.

i think he has ball diffs through out so he should be ok on them. the steering setup is junk on them though, whoever came up with that design needs to be taken out back....

I'm not sure if they have single conversion sets yet though

good deal man, you got more then 200$ there

Unfortunately... I think I want a micro-t instead. I wanted something to fool around indoors with. I don't have a lot of room in the apartment, but I think I have enough to have fun with a micro-t. The micro-t is also a lot quieter. This thing is noisy, lot of motor whining. The guy I got this from had bought a micro-t for his wife. I was over there today and ran that in his garage for 3-4 charge cycles while he worked on painting a body. I had a blast. I think the mini-lst is too big for that. I know it is for the area I have.

Since I don't have any aspirations to race or anything, there isn't much need in souping up the MLST any more than it already is. Especially since I don't really have anywhere to run it. I just ran it in my office for about 10-15 minutes. When you don't run WOT the battery lasts quite a while. I changed my remote to only go 60% forward, but I never even hit that speed in doors.

yea i hear ya olds, i dont even run my mlst because of that fact. its to big for indoors (and i have a desent size house) and i dont like running it outside cause it gets all dirty and you can't run it indoors without a good cleaning.

i have the micro-t and it is a BLAST. if you get one lmk ill get you a list of mandatory mods.

Umm... yeah, I lasted about 18 hours. I bought one while I was on lunch today. It's now charging as I wait... This has got to be the longest 20 minutes ever!
