The transmiter says 27.095 the reciver says 27ghz narrow band.I gess I just assumed that it was 2.4 I don't know why it don't say anything about 2.4. Sorry I don't know how to post pics on here.

If it's an AM or FM system, BOTH need to have crystals. They will also be labeled for Tx or Rx. You can't just throw any crystal in it and expect it to work. They need to be matched to the frequency.

27.095 is FM channel 3, Orange.

Thanks. I found the crystal in the transmiter and I'm going to order a pair of them I will let youns know how it turns out.

I just looked through one of my parts drawers and found an old HPI Receiver. It's AM, ch3, orange and 27.095.
Before you order any new ones you need to make sure that you have either an AM or an FM system. One will not work with the other. They are tuned to the Tx and Rx.
Do you have a complete extendable antenna on your transmitter? How about the receiver, how long is the wire?

The reciver wire is about 10 inches long and the antanna on the transmiter is about 2 foot fully extended

Does the radio antenna still have a button on the end of it?
There's also a possibility that the Rx antenna wire has been broken or cut. It should be about a foot and a half. Anyone have an accurate measurement on that?

The rx wire looks like it has been cut and the tx antenna is 30 inches and it dose have a ball on the end of it

Sounds like the radio is okay but apparently you have a problem with the Rx. It's also possible that it's been pulled off the board inside. If that's the case you can get the proper antenna wire and solder a new one in.
I'd STRONGLY recommend that you spend a few bucks and get a Flysky unit like this one.
Wait for a few replies or recommendations. Maybe someone can find it even cheaper.

I think I'm going to try the crystals first. If they don't work I will buy a new tx/rx. I took the rx apart and all the wire are still connected to the circuit bord even if they do work I still might buy a new one I just want to see how much I like it before I spend a bunch of money on it.

Sounds good- is most likely to be the crystals, if not then look for a good 2.4GHZ system, overall they're better- no need for crystals, and no interference :)
