Does your school offer any good tech classes?
My home school, closest to tech there is, is computer science which is just coding games and programs through CODE.org. there's also foundations of engineering which is hands on stuff, also CDM1-4 which is construction design management. Cdm1 is more handon vs 2 and on is more in depth with AutoCAD design and building actual models. I already took Comp Sci, FOE and CDM1/2. Now there's more tech classes offered at the tech high school more deep in town but i believe it's already too late for that since you have to sign up when you first get into HS. And I'm already a junior. (That tech high school works on a half day schedule so you catch the bus to bring you there to that school and back to your home school.)

I believe my counselor told me due to my good GPA I think I can apply for dual enrollment and go to community college half day and take classes there next year but college isn't really my thing. I'd rather go to trade school or straight to work. Although this summer I'm looking to working with my mom and uncle at their job. I'll just be helping out aorind the building and warehouse. My mom is sales and my uncle is a driver. They do lighting/electrical/wiring. They're also a Milwaukee tools dealer too.

Try as much different stuff as you can while you are young. You might end up working on a farm somewhere and be happy, you'll never know til you try!
Sounds like you have some great opportunities! 😎👍

Speaking about radio...

got to digging around in the garage. it wasn't supposed to be an RC mission, but it turned into one. ...kinda... found some stuff I'm confused by as well as stuff i wished i knew i had cause i bought new ones not that long ago. i have no clue what that belt goes to. any ideas? the clutch shoes and nut might predate the RC10GT but also might work on the GT so idk.

kept digging and found a Cox GTP car. not sure what I'm going to do with it, kinda want to "restore" it (at least get it running/driving) its going to require some research. idk anything about it.

then i found about 1/3 of my Tower Hobbies ST-15 and I'm seriously wondering if i can use modern Kyosho parts (it shares a crap load of parts of various Ultima and Ultima variants) to get it running again. i have most of the gearbox somewhere.

i also found another car, a drag car, idk what it is, I'm going to make a dedicated thread to hopefully find out what it is.

so after i put the RC stuff away i kept digging around and found these old speakers and was like i should swap out the guts and use them cause who doesn't like fake woodgrain? they're currently 10w 8ohm. i don't have anything compatible with that.

so iv had a fun day of exploring stuff i don't normally get into. maybe lining up some future projects.

Today being Mother's Day we started out doing whatever my wife wanted; chillin 😎

We gave Mom her gift which my son and I picked out on Saturday; it was a hit!

We then went to watch my nephews final hockey game of the season, they got blown out. I think the kids were exhausted, I know my nephew was. He looked sluggish in net.

After they came over for a day of play with my wife, son and me. It wasn't what my wife or I had planned but sometimes you gotta shift, ya know?

So, we started but getting the flotilla out.

My niece is driving my sons 6x6, it's two-up unit.

Later we hung in the yard and goofed around.
When I went to go get dinner the kids and my wife baked cookies 🤤

I have a big surprise for all of them later this week; we have another stashed away so they can all have their own. We picked up a piece of construction equipment on clear out from a retail close out sale. Its still in the box, I have to build it.

I also got my yard raked, trees trimmed, winter kill on plants cleaned up and the sprinkler system fired up.

We're exhausted but it was an absolutely killer weekend.

I guess with any illness there will be good days and bad. Today was a good day.
I mowed the lawn and even walked around the house without blacking out.:thumbs-up:

NOW its nice to see something going your way!!! :thumbs-up:

If you keep showing those legs off in public, you're gonna cause an accident! 😲

My grandma needed my help taking off her roofing shingles. So I did, and discovered that her house has 2 layers of shingles! Makes things much more fun for me!
Make sure to get the shot. Shingles is big on older people. 😝🤪

I put motor mounts in the Focus today. Was clearly well overdue. It drives so much nicer, smoother, quieter... Good-er. 🤣
Lots more to get finished before we un-sh!t the box!
I am very happy with today's results so far.

After work, I mowed the very overgrown lawn I had just mowed 4 days ago. My lawn looks so good during spring! Then, after my workout and dinner, I tended to my young garden. Well, just a little greenhouse right now, but with warmer overnights(+50°F) finally arriving starting this weekend, I'm hoping to have my garden fully set up this Sunday.

Spontaneous buy while at Walmart, yesterday. Came across this "4 in 1" sweet cherry tree. Cherries are one of my favorite fruits, and this tree being cleared for my zone(5) and a self pollinators, fits all the criteria. The tree appears healthy and looks to have just flowered. It must have looked a bit comical with me angling the tree over 45° to get it through the stores entryway.
This wasn't a planned purchase, so I didn't have the mini van, just my little Subaru Impreza. The tree is around 7' tall, so will it safely fit into the car? YES!
