My wife and I walked around our community pond this morning before it got hot but it was hot anyway.
107 now and the smoke from the wildfires is killing me. :(
You better stay out of that smoke man. Hopefully your place isn't down wind of it.

Yes we are down wind from them and I do stay out of it. Everything outside now is a bright orange from the smoke.
It's really bad.
That sucks man. I remember driving through Kansas when they were burning off the fields. I couldn't breath for like 20 miles. It was crazy. You could see forever across those fields, and it was just a line of fire as far as you could see.

107? Feels like home!👹

Slow start today, but finally got to the transfer station to get rid of the trash and recyclables. Afterwards, went to wash the car, and swung into Walmart. By the time I got home at around 1:30, it was close to 90° and I just wasn't motivated to do much. But, I forced myself to make this day productive.
I eventually made my way into the hot garage. I've been wanting to dig out my bench grinder, and make it more readily accessible. I've recently taken up knife throwing, and being a poor thrower really punishes the knives, so the grinder will be needed to make repairs on bent and broken tips. After installing the grinder on its own stand, I tested it out on a knife that broke its tip striking a rock from a deflection off a failed throw. The knife lost about nearly a 1/4", but it has a sharp tip again.
While moving stuff around in the garage, I noticed the bottles of windshield washer fluids, which reminded me to see if my car needed any. I ended up filling my car, and 2 other cars. While filling up mine, I notice my one year old car's engine bay looked rather clean still. Just a bit dusted with some light grime here and there. So, I'd decided to do a quick clean of the engine bay. Brushed and blew away sand and dust, and then wiping many of the components down with Awesome multi purpose cleaner and Amor All.
After cleaning up, I was calling it a day and hit the showers.

I did a gear box oil fill, to correct the accidental emptying I performed on it a month back oops!

Fill point is a pain to get at especially as my van is stored a long way from our home, so I have to bring everything I need and some to make sure I can get the job done.

Any way a quick test drive suggests that the oil stays inside so van/motor home is now ready for summer trips.

Finally, a day that wasn't hot and humid. Stop at the car wash on the way home from work. Swung into a UPS store, nearby the car wash, to return an Amazon product.
When I got home I water the wife's herbs and veggie plants, then headed in the back for a very short knife throwing session. Then went for a 40min run.
After the run, had dinner and then just chill in front of the tv. Practiced my balisong flips, on and off, while I watching a series of back to back CSI: Miami.

Went off exploring with one of my friends. We had a couple scary moments but we made it

After breakfast, just to get out of the house for a few, we are driving north up to Midvale hill a"3,632 ft elevation" and check out the fires.
Have a good trip. Hope you can get us some good pics.

I did RC related stuff most of the day, but I also did non-RC related stuff that consisted of me walking around aimlessly while wondering where I was at, scratching my butt a few times, and watching TV.

Me too. Mosquitos damn near sucked me dry. 🤢🤢😝
There's very likely mosquitoes flying around under the influence then.

idk if it's considered R/C or not but I did the best I could to remove the background and make the background transparent on this insignia for myself and my R/C cars. Gonna send it to the decal guy next week or so.
