Me and my brother have a Nitro RC that he received from his friend. It is in need of repair, but also, we need help figuring out its Make and Model, if any.

Kind of tough to tell from one single blurry photo but I'm pretty sure what you have there is a Team Associated RC10GT. As for the engine, looks similar to some of the old Kyoshos. Any identifying marks on the crank case, carb, or cooling head?

Id have to look when i get home, but i googled what you said and nearly identical cars popped up.

But i will take more pics when i can

90% Associated RC10GT. Hard to tell from the one picture though. Looks like a Ofna Force.12 engine. Not positive on the engine though.

That's definitely a blue chassis RC10 GT. With a little cleaning, a few new screws and some brake linkage help you'll have yourself a great stadium truck for sure!

Thanks! But it hasnt ran in about 3 years. It also needs a new gas tank and problably a lot of other stuff...

Don't try to start it then, it'll need an engine tear down and cleaning. New gas tanks are cheap, you can replace that easily. Looks like it has a Robinson Racing Steel Spur gear also. You've got probably the best stadium truck ever made, I still drive mine on a regular basis.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure it needs more than that to get running though. it doesn't even have a body, but I've got a plan for that.

Don't attempt to start your engine until you tear it down and give it a thorough cleaning inside and out. Looks like it has some funk and grit inside the carb venturi.
When you are ready to start it, heres a owners manual for your Fantom FR.15 It should include needle settings and part numbers for your engine.

Firstly clean it!
Second- don't try and start, do a tear down of the engine first!

If it were me, Id do a complete tear down of the truck too and clean it making sure to check all the bearings and making sure all the screws that need locktite have it as well as doing an engine tear down. Dont forget to re-oil the engine after cleaning it. :)

I would suggest tearing it down and cleaning it since no one mentioned that earlier.
Seriously, the best thing you can do is get completely familiar with how everything fits and works by giving the entire truck a complete going over. That way, when you DO start it and run it, you'll have a thorough knowledge of what's going on with it.
