I would suggest tearing it down and cleaning it since no one mentioned that earlier.
Seriously, the best thing you can do is get completely familiar with how everything fits and works by giving the entire truck a complete going over. That way, when you DO start it and run it, you'll have a thorough knowledge of what's going on with it.
Agreed, do a total tear down and you can get to know your truck inside out- therefore you can fix and pinpoint pretty much any problem.

I agree with your agreement, a total teardown is in order not only to clean and look for hidden damage, but to assess what parts may be missing.
Not to mention, you'll get to know every aspect of the truck inside and out. This makes troubleshooting much easier down the road.

I agree with your agreement to my agreement, this really helps troubleshooting, for example when I first bought my buggy, I couldn't find out where this clicking was from. After a total tear down realised that somehow a stone had got hidden between the flywheel, and every so often would jump into its path- but being pushed back again.

I'm not tearing down anyones underwear, and cleanin ,, unless I know asl first,.. I'm just thinking of the shipping costs... that was what you peeps were on about right ?

Would anyone agree to doing a tear down and cleaning? Just wondering...
I would agree to agree to your agreement to strip down and clean ANY nitro rc vehicle no matter how dirtyit is- it is satisfying.
