So, Trump is imposing tariffs on China and Canada, and other countries. I need to know before I buy it: WHERE IS THE AXIAL SCX10 III MADE?
It doesn't say in Horizon Hobby, nor the Axial website. I need to know in so I have an idea of part price and availability.

If you buy an RC there is a 90% chance it was manufactured in China.

Unfortunately, Axial is owned by Horizon. Horizon's response to the tariffs was a 10% price hikes across the board. You'll be able to get the parts, they're just going to be 10% more expensive. Same thing happened in 2018. We just blamed inflation and moved along until things balanced back out.

I've also received e-mail notice from Red Cat of a price hike with a "buy what you want now before x date to save yourself money" notice tossed in there.

You'll also see people complaining about orders being cancelled for no reason with various different RC retailers. That too is a direct result of the tariffs as these companies scramble to adjust pricing to counteract the hit that will occur at the border.

I wish Horizon would just move production to Taiwan. Better quality and I think the US has a good relationship with them.

Kyosho is now made in China.
I heard the same... incorrect. These are new, not from the vintage pile. 😎

That may be true of those parts. But all 4 of my Legendary kits say made in China, clearly on the box.

That's just because China thinks they own Taiwan. 😜

Wiki and contact address for Kyosho is in Japan.
A Japanese headquartered company.
Kyosho America is in California.

153 FunakoAtsugi, Kanagawa Zip code 243-0034

I have piles of parts here from Kyosho and the only parts from China are a set of titanium turnbuckles.
I can survive with Avid turnbuckles. I like them!!! 😍
