You might take a look around the drone websites. www.racedayquads.com www.getfpv.com, and www.helidirect.com all sell tiny whoop batteries. You can often find a battery solution for small scale stuff there. And much cheaper than Spektrum's batteries. Probably a lot better too if I'm honest. Quads use up a lot of mAh, so drone people are pretty particulsr about their batteries.Ok, like I said, though it's a very capable crawler, I can't let well enough be. Here's my issue. A SImple servo horn. I want to dump the factory composite horn and upgrade servo. Servo CHECK. The servo horn from yeah racing which I already bought is too long (YA-0574BK). The RCR aluminum isn't available on their web site. Neither are their batteries.. thoughts on Servo horns and upgrading and adding batteries to the arsenal? Model #'s and where to shop would be appreciated for known fitting parts! Thanks in advance community!

Lol. That's what we are here for. To live vicariously through the bank accounts of others13.00 ea isn't a bank breaker. But I'll definitely navagate to some of thoes sites if for nothing else curiosity BUT if end up with something that flies you will definitely be to blame. ;-)
Looking good! I too feel the need to upgrade everything
Have you tried Savox for the servo horn? You can just use one of the plastic ones that are included with the servo until you locate a proper lenth aluminum one. Also, I see you upgraded the servo mount as well, is it adjustable to allow for a longer servo than stock to clear the upper links?
As for the batteries, I have had one on backorder from Redcat on warrenty since mid December. Mine completely died after 3 charges, Redcat was awesome with response and getting me one on order under warranty. I did locate gensacearespammers batteries that are same size, connectors, and Mah, but they too have been backordered. I have had them on order with AMain since mid Dec as well with no expected ship date. Makes me wonder if gensacearespammers are supplying the batteries for Redcat??
Excellent tip!Spektrum
You're welcome!I find it needs a touch of weight up front but otherwise it's an exceptional out of the box rig. It's not quite doing what my 10th scales do, but it's very good for sure.
I had these on back order for a month now. We will see what happens.
Excellent tip!
Are you setting your endpoints when you install the new servos? I have been in the game 40 years and have yet to kill a Savox. But if you fail to set your endpoints (usually you use dual rate knob on stock radios), you'll burn any servo out pretty quick. So the Savox was a horrible choice. I have learned alot on this redcat. Swapping servos isn't an easy feat. So after the savox wouldn't turn under load I ran down to the local hobby store and looked at the micros they offer.. Reefs was the choice. BUT redcat ascent apex 1/18 servo size is important for the front links to bottom against. I make a small metal plate to fit into servo mount that gave the links the stop point they needed bit the Reefs died about 10 min in. Back to Hexfly from AMain works as it should again. Shelved pending transmission disection now. Started making noise and something just ain't right in there.. hey look.. injoura transmission with 24/1 and aluminum case and metal gears for 22.00 CLICK buy now.. itll be here Tuesday.
No and no thanks frog I appreciate the input and will definitely need your expertise on this subject when I play with the capra.. I'll dm if that's OK? It was the ai generated strength that killed me. Upon further dig on the model it was about 1/2 of hex's MOJO, that's where the Reefs came in. Unfortunately it failed but like the rest of the "article" states redcat kinda sucks for product support unless you keep it oe.Are you setting your endpoints when you install the new servos? That's fine. I'll PM ya my number.
