Today I learned about 4wheel steer.....
Let me go back....I have had 4ws on the Capra for a while now. I was able to narrow the rear wheel steer effect by about 50% and then with mixing I was able to have it drive very well, turns on the "dime" if you are old enough to know that term 😉.
I posted my son's white Capra recently and got a suggestion about "if he could have placed the rear a tiny distance closer to the ledge...." and I rewatched the video and it has changed the way I crawl now. I have changed radio systems and had issues getting the 4ws mixed correctly. I gave up and set the rear steer on a different channel and then off to Lucia Falls again. I (and my son) were amazed at how well it now crawls. The BIG discovery was to leave the rear steer alone! That's right, keep your filthy mitts of the rear steer! It is good deal like the throttle in that you do not always need more, but sometimes a bit more or less really helps. I am only using it when I NEED it now, then it goes back to center. The lines we were pulling were amazing. Moving the rear an inch can make a big difference.
Adding 4ws made it turn better everywhere, which I consider to be worth the effort, but putting the rear on it's own channel makes it CLIMB better....
And I FORGOT who pointed out that IF he ( my son) had 4ws he could have moved the rear......THANKS. That comment really changed our climbing in a very good way......

Using the Flysky GP7+ and then added a small piece of plastic and two small screws to the V/R thumb lever. This link will give you an idea of what can be done. Not my video, as I would NEVER use a RED lever extension on that radio. Carbon weave perhaps, or even white. What I did was drill TWO small holes in the white piece, Top hole first then the lower hole (I know, I know. But this is EXACTLY how I did it, and curious minds want to know). I was going to utilize the computer and some AI videos to make a the correct installation angle but ended up using the "hold it on the radio until it looks right and go with it"....of course it works.
