I Hope I'm not being scammed. HELP

I just googled the name of the person I bought this setup from and he has a couple sites where a person said he scammed them. And there is also a (recently closed) "*Persons Name* ruined my life" named facebood group!!!

I was told this was a Slash ultimate. Do you guys have any reason why you would think this WASN'T one?

I'm paranoid because of the google search on top of the second chance offer after I had already lost the auction. The reason why he said I was getting the offer was because the winner's son was the one bidding on the auction and didn't have the money to pay for it.

Please let me know what you think.

I hope this is as good as a deal as I think it was.

Did you buy it on ebay? If so, did you check feedback before buying?

I did, he had only 7. They were all positive, but they also where buying feedbacks

Only way to find out is to wait and see if/when you get the stuff. I usually try to stick with people who have a high number off seller transactions.

I'm not seeing any aluminum on the corners, maybe he swapped them for plastic and will be including the aluminum but why downgrade to plastic? I also don't see Big Bores on there, it looks like you're just getting a 4x4 Slash. Just wait for it to come in and if it's not what he said it was file a complaint with E-Bay and PayPal.

How much did you pay for it? If its a good deal for a regular slash then you might be ok but if its not then Id file an ebay claim and get a return and site the fact that none of the ultimate features are present. Ebay almost always sides with the buyer anyway. It does sound like he may have another account and was bidding his own auction up and maxing you out on your bid but then again it could have been a legit thing that happened. I would also mention that if you file an ebay complaint so they can investigate that also.

And I found a mug shot from a guy with the same name that was arraigned for drunk driving about 10 Miles from the city on his ebay account..... ERRRRRRRR

I just got it in the mail today. It is not an ultimate. I am contacting the seller to give me some money back or I'm going to return it to him. How disappointing..... But the hobby store guy did run it around with his battery and it isn't in horrible shape, and it does run.... So we will see! :-|

Well the seller is a douchebag. Definately a scammer. He gave the a whole car salesman bit when I requested to get some money back. He was fairly friendly(though cocky,) until it started getting too fishy for me and I told him even though he said he would give me a full refund after I sent the truck back within the next 3 days, I was going to request a refund via paypal before I ship it out..

He said, good luck with that. I hope it works out.

Then a few minutes after I got that message, I received an email from paypal that he escalated the request to a claim. He stated that he NEVER STATED THAT IT WAS A ULTIMATE.... AHAHAHAHAHHAH Even though it was in 2 places!!!!!! Not to mention that one spot was changed to the color red and increased font, and another spot was SUPERSIZED and BOLD!!!

It's sad actually how people can't be truthful and treat people the way they would want to be treated.

Hey dude. Thats definitely not an ultimate package by what I see in the photo. A previous post lists the sway bars and aluminum c hubs steering blocks. I would hope it would be an honest mistake. Barn Floor r/c has great prices and great customer service for a new 6808 cheaper than that. It looks like you were at the very least overcharged. Does the velineon motor andd esc at least work properly? I have a couple of slashes and theyre excellent vehicles but I think you just paid a little too much for it being that it has the standard 6808 package with no upgrades and is used.

Well Paypal gave me back my money today. They also experienced the "douchbag-ness" of this guy. He told paypal he never said it was an ultimate, (hopefully) not realizing that paypal have access to the listing DESCRIPTION!!!!

Oh well, Don't buy from this guy, or at least if your in florida, drive out to see his stuff, NEVER TAKE IS WORD FOR IT!

I sent it back, and now I found a local truck for sale.
