I have been watching this truck on FB marketplace and finally got the price down and grabbed it and 2 sweet chargers. Now, I intend to do some budget upgrades and build a thrasher to beat on a bit. I had to add the stickers, it was so damn ugly!. No circus high fly acts planned, but basic jumps and off road training. The truck is solid and I have some bits I took off from some new trucks I modded. I

was wondering if any of the $25-$30 aluminum shocks on Amazon are better then the stock traxxas shocks??. Remember, BUDGET is the key word here. I have brand new take-off traxxas slash shocks and the aluminum caps.

The stock traxxas shocks are pretty good, but will probably need some Aluminum shock caps because the plastic ones like to pop off. The shafts are also pretty bendy too but the TiNi shafts are pretty cheap. The stock shocks are very tunable.

If you want ultimate durability I’d find some GTR shocks from a Slash Ultimate on JennysRC as @CertifiedMike said above

Don't fall for the shiny cheap generic shocks sold across the web. If you can't find part numbers for the individual parts of the shock... just keep passing them by.

If you zoom in close, you can see where the kid's sandal dented a shock body and bend the shaft. 🙄🤣
Every spring that I ever got aftermarket has always had springs that could suspend a full size Chevy wagon too.
No idea whats up with that either.

These shocks are made of shiny cheese! 🤣

If you're helll bent on different shocks id rock these. You use tge stock internals to build these aluminum ones up. I have them on 2 cars and love them.

The strc bodies are very good. A ton of the dirt oval guys run them around here.

A common setup os the strc body and the ti shafts. Makes for really good shocks

My stampede and bandit both rin the ti shocks too. Wouldn't have it any other way.
