I hear ya' brother!!! When the heck are we going to get a UNwet weekend when you have off to rip up the track? Seems to be rather wet on the east coast this year,dont want to hear anything about drought warnings around here!!!! I havent run since the last time you were over here.

hey corado you should move over here we get racing all year round, its about 20- 17 cent here at the moment

The guys I run with race at an indoor track through the winter. I personally don't have that kind of money to destroy an engine in the cold. Unless you have a special head, your motor won't get up past 180 in the freezing cold. We all know what being under temp does to the inside of an engine.

If you're really hard pressed, CorradoPsi, check out j&k raceway up by Williamsport. There is also bumps and jumps in Harrisburgh now. They have heaters and poop, but they only run 10th scale cause of the "smoke" (lame, 10th scale makes a lot of smoke too). Anyway, lots off places to race in PA if you really needed a fix.

Yeah, Bumps and Jumps is not to far. They race on odd days. We were going to go up to Williamsport for a big buggy race,but it was a no go. Psi and I usually race at Pit Stop hobbies.

And Mike your talking MEAN. Wish we could run year round like that.

I raced once at pit stop last summer. The 8th scale class was bigger than I had thought. It's very family oriented there too. My son enjoyed the novice class. My only problem was that I had no one to pit for me and the guys I run with had no interest in driving that far. My son tried to pit for me, but it just wasn't working. I ended up flaming before the start and again while he was refilling me.

Anyway, I didn't mean to derail your thread. Maybe next summer I'll see you guys around.

yup, i need a fix, bad! anyway, yes bumps and jumps is pretty close by. and just an fyi for the more local guys, they are going to run 8th scales on january 9th. ill be there and id bet jeff will too. I'm building a truggy to race there this winter just to get my fix. B&J does run monster trucks if all else fails. just waiting on parts to show up at this point. it'll be a JT racing converted Hyper 7 Pro with a Top .28, hope that will take care of it for me.

I probably wont race again until the spring. I need to buy a case of 30%, new tires, new clutch and some other parts.

EDIT: Also best tires for bumps and jumps is cut 10th scale tires. I've never done it. I think the tread is called "step pins"?? Might have to ask around, but that setup works at j&k and bumps and jumps. Will be pretty useless at pit stop though.

CorradoPsi, tell me how they work. The price is friggen awsome. My crimefighters slid real bad and I didn't race at either j&k or bumps and jumps long enough to make myself a set of those cut 10th scale tires.

I really should keep ontop of crap or just not open my mouth. It seems j&k is closed for good. I was just reading the grid. I stopped reading when I put the buggies up for hibernation a couple of months ago. Sorry for the misinformation.
