as I was reading the Bonehead of the Day:
Reader, and friend, John Hart, wants you to know that a bonehead award should go to all those people who made it necessary for the Epson company to add the following warning to their ink cartridges: "Carefully remove yellow tape from the cartridge; do not drink the ink."

No way people are that freaking dumb. I mean matts would be Einstein compared to the people who made Epson put the warning on the ink cartridges. Hello, ink, not drink. Wile they have the same last 3 letters does not mean they are similar, aside from both being liquid.

I think the thing that amazes me most of this is the person who's sitting at home saying, "gee, I'm thirsty. Hey, I just bought those new ink cartridges for my printer. They'd sure go down smooth as thirsty as I am right now."

I mean gimme a break, who else would they be for, kids? Hell no. Kids, even if they were going to try drinking printer cartridges would be in one of two categories: first, the younger ones that can read the warning; second, the ones that can read the warning but will ignore it anyway.

Sorry, just a piece of my mind.

It's due to the ridiculously lawsuit prone nature of our society.

Spill hot coffee on yourself, sue the friggin company because the cup wasn't labeled in a way that would indicate that spilling hot coffee on yourself might cause you pain and/or injury.

It's outrageously out of control! Sue tobacco companies for killing you with cancer?? Why don't we sue Traxxas for sapping all of our savings with all their toys. There's no warning label on the box of a T-Maxx that says "WARNING: This TOY is highly addictive and time consuming. It will consume ALL leftover spending money and time you have"!!!

So - I'm going to sue Traxxas for the $1,500 it's cost me PLUS about 4,000 hours of my time that it's consumed! That's got to be worth at least 1/4 million bucks.

Dude...I'm totally with you about "stupid people". I'm simply amazed on a DAILY basis how stupid, inconsiderate, selfish and backwards people can be.

I really like the DYSFUNCTION picture...turns that accusatory finger that so many people point all the time at everyone but themselves....right back at them.

Here's a quote you'll like...from my hero Teddy Roosevelt:
"Don't hit at all if you can help it; don't hit a man if you can possibly avoid it; but if you do hit him, put him to sleep."
New York City, February 17, 1899

Speaking of stupid people and Ink cartridges, I sell 200-300 Epson cartridges per week, we get 3% of them returned as defective. Guess what’s wrong with 90% of them.

They don’t remove the yellow tape.

We also get back the same % of HP cartridges because people don’t take the blue tape off the head. And a large amount of laser and toner cartridges from people that don’t remove the seal strip.

With this in mind what makes Epson think that anyone who will drink the ink would read the warning.

How about brail signs in a hallway? How do they know where the sign is?

I really like seeing brail on the drive through ATM, shows someone is thinking. I remember in one of the Bonehead stories I read about a metnally retarded person being forced to be employed because they could not discriminate against him. While in some instances I could see this because there are plenty of thins the person could have done however when are they going to force an airlines to hire a blind pilot? Would you want to be on that plane, wait maybe the blind pilot is not such a bad idea, he'd probably be sober.
