I paid $350. The body is beat up, but it came with a bran new clear body. It is mostly stock with jist a couple small upgrades. I plan on tearing this thing apart and rebuilding it upgrading parts here and there. Will be a fun project!

Sweet! There's two of these for sale at my LHS for $300 apiece. Good working condition, pretty dirty but run fine.

Awesome score! I like my UDR overall, it’s unique for sure.. wish I bought mine used at half price too. I’ve nicknamed mine Humpty Dumpty cuz it’s broken most of the time, LOL. Is what it is, just doesn’t like to be driven fast over rough terrain, it’s more scale than my other rigs. Enjoy!!

$300 for a perfectly working car seems like a steal to me, especially with a list price on their website of $800. My LHS frequently does that with vehicles people bring in, where they just want it gone so the store marks it down so younger people and kids can get a decent vehicle as an introduction. I started with a 1/18 ECX Ruckus, and I'm getting an ARRMA Outcast 4S V2.5 this summer.

I will be tearing it down soon and checking all the internals, but so far everything seems in working order. I think this thing was used as a road basher and didn't get much air time. The body is beat up, but the roll cage and most of the rest is still in great shape. I spent about $200 on jennys to fet a bunch of spares just in case.

Oh boy! Here we go! It doesn't look too bad so far. I can definitely tell it has primarily been running on 6s judging by the diff cups.

As far as upgrades... I want this to be a 4s rig, so I want to keep it light. The rear trailing arms seem flimsy, but i've heard good things about the RPM ones. Probably going to upgrade the front toe links to aluminum and get aluminum sway bars.

For it being ran on 6s, the center diff didn't look too bad. It had a couple teeth with the corners broken, so I just swapped the whole thing with the sparw I got from Jenny's RC. I removes all the stock greas from the planetary reducing gears and packed it with green greece.

For me the stock trailing arms looked like bananas in no time, I put the RPM bits on and they’re much better. My front diff cups look similar, 6s since day one. Center diff has held up, stock pinion not so much. I went with a Tekno pinion in stock size. In hindsight I wish I went up a few teeth so I could run mine on 4s. You’ll save yourself much grief by going 4s I think.
The rear axle and driveshaft are problematic for me, the driveshaft is basically 1/10 3s sized with 2mm drive pins. The rear axle housing allows too much flex I feel also. I’m planning on MIP driveshaft eventually. I replaced the rear axle center section with a GPM alloy unit, just the center, $60 I think.
My UDR motor ran hot as a pistol all the time it seems, so I took it apart and cut a 2” hole throught the chassis and installed a cheap 50mm fan. Never been hot since.
I also put GPM alloy steer links on it along with a DS3225 servo and alloy arm. The plastic steer links are like pool noodles, LOL.

I forgot to mention I’m now on my 3rd set of rear ring and pinion gears.. first replacement was HR spool and Crazy Racer ring/pinion. One pack later the pinion was spanked and I threw the UDR on a shelf for the rest of the season, LOL.
That’s when I decided to buy the GPM housing, along with a rear differential in place of the spool. I don’t recall what brand of gears I bought the second time round but I have gotten a few packs through the truck as it is now. Doesn’t sound good, but I’m at a point where I just don’t care. Kinda “over it”. Right now the steering is waay to quick, can’t keep the thing straight for the life of me. Think I need to abandon the TQi and put an FS receiver in it so I can make adjustments without going through the “string of lights” adjustment menu of the TQi.
