I finally found one

I tried those little insulators with good results but I didn't like having to change them every time I try different gearing. There are several options for different motor mounts that use a more standard type mesh adjustment that I liked a lot better. GPM is what I went with.

I personally have stock gearing but depending on what you want to change they have some options such as 13/34..11/34 etc..I think HotRacing has the most to choose from although they are still limited..you can see the different hole offsets in the pics below.View attachment 247795View attachment 247796View attachment 247797View attachment 247798
I'll look into them more if I decide to change gearing. For right now it's stock 13/52. If changed anything I'd probably up on my pinion a tooth or 2, nothing crazy. So far I'm happy with stock gearing on 6s

I've heard great things about GPM stuff. If I dont like the isolators I'll look into the different mounts

The only other thing I changed is the original dogbone axles..I went with CVD'S on each corner. First batch send outs at launch was missing rubber o-rings in cups on some units..Traxxas sent me some at no charge (it was a known issue at launch). The originals had a nasty habit of falling out from slop / or dogbone pins would work their way out. CVD's eliminated all that nonsense and my units have been rock solid since...

Mine does have the rings in the cups yes. I do want to change to cvd's as this one have some slop & then on the cups on center diff it's wearing out.
What cvd's did you go with?

Cool pickup, I used to have a Sledge but i ended up trading it and two other rigs for an X-Maxx since i wished i had just gotten an EXB Kraton like the old roller version and i still have ideas to maybe someday get the new RTR version of the Kraton 6s EXB. Here was my old Sledge if you're wondering it was a great truck i just like the Kraton a bit more but that's just me.

If I remember correctly, at the time I replaced them it may have been GPM also, its been quite a few years...nowadays just about every aftermarket and hop-up parts company offers some version of their own.

Good lookin rigs right there!
Any must-do upgrades before I really start beating on this thing, or just upgrade as stuff breaks?🤠

Not sure what servo the previous owner used but Traxxas servos are notoriously weak across their whole line-up. Oversize washer on rear wing..top two screws like to pop thru on hard landing or flips. Traxxas didn't even have a light kit available when I bought these I needed up adopting a Hoss light kit for front and rear LED's

One thing i first noticed was that the servo is trash. I'm shocked it even turns lol. I do want to change that out with an Amazon one i got for a other to see how it would do.
I'm not into the light kits, but they look cool
