What is the motor from, it looks stout?

Ummm I’m going keep eyes on this better make it happen
I have a lot dirty cloths.. let’s do this 😉

I think it’s from a washing machine. one of my friends gave it to me so I’m not 100% sure
That is from a washer or dryer. It's been 68 years since I tore them down and can't remember.

Appears to be copper and not aluminum wire, that's a plus.

Can you run one of these on batteries.
And if you have any brilliant ideas for what I should do with it let me know
My favorite is the washer or dryer going with cinder blocks in it. It kinda self destruction. Very satisfying.

It's most likely and AC motor. I don't do a lot of AC (analog) work but in the end it's all about current and phase, so maybe with the right ESC?

If it's an AC motor, you could always run an inverter from a battery. But you might need some other bits to go with it.

120 volt AC motor not running that on DC. unless you get a transformer
