ok i just opened the spur gear to tighten the slipper clutch but i have nooooo idea where it is...my spur gear is basically a gear and something big attachted to it(is this the clutch??) i have no idea where the slipper clutch is and how to tighten it because i can't see any screws around...plz help

oo ya its a differential spur gear.. and it goes on a buggy

No slipper clutchs on buggies. What's your problem?

that was the center-diff you had in your hand. If you want to balance out the power and not unload the front all the time, run some thicker oil in the center. I just topped mine off with 50K and its perfect.

i dont think the diff is working anymore...i tightened a small screw and now all tires move at once..it works soo good for the type of bashing i do (dune bashing)

I think he has a 777....I like the 50K in the center diff for bashing. Much better traction. By smoking that one screw down too much you may have just locked your center diff. But hey if it works for you....run it until it breaks

loool i have a hyper 8 ..and ya i think it broke already... i keep tightening the screw but the diff wont lock...it would just stay and scream...what is wrong with it?

Which screw are you tightening Nitro? The one on the side of the diff case? Also...your spur gear and diff are turning correct? how about the drive shafts coming out of the drive cups on the diff?

well when i turn the spur the shafts dont move..but when i move the shafts the spur moves....and I'm tightening the screw on the diff case...its a small screw.. the buggy just keeps screaming now..

Ok have you checked the set screws in the the drive cups that lock them down to the diff? Also the screw in the side of the diff is an air bleed port. Probably should not smoke that down. It could get caught in the gears and trash the diff. I would back it back out until it is flush with the case. Check the drive cup screws, also check the set screws on all the diff output drive cups. If nothing else pull the diff and see if the gears feel rough when you turn the output back and forth. Easiest way to troubleshoot is to work simplest to most difficult. Work in logical steps eliminating on thing at a time.

well i checked the screws they where all tight..i opened up the diff and all the gears inside are straight! it looked good yesterday...anyways should i get another differential spur gear ? or are there normal spur gears for buggies? i bash in the desert so its kinda like loose dirt so i need all the tires moving at the same time..
