Hey guys,
I am getting a lipo igniter from dynamite. However, before, when I had my dynamite metered nimh one, I charged it through my expensive high end charger with the same rating as the sub c battery (3000 mah). I realized it took like three mins to charge, but it would die out pretty quickly (like after five min of use) and I would have to change the battery with a freshly charged one. Should I charge at a lower capacity? The batteries did get a little warm but nothing too crazy. So, fed up with having to change batteries every couple of minutes, I am getting a new igniter. However I want to charge it on my high end charger rather than the included one. What capacity should I do it at to not damage the batteries? It is a 1S 1200 mah lipo.

A battery with 1200mah can be safely charged at 1 c. but no adays many batteries can be charged way higher C amount. Id look at battery itself and see if it states a C at rating and do 1/2 of the said high C rate. but keep the 1 c to start..

I just use LSD AA's and an AA sized heater. Fits in my pocket better when I'm out running. A single AA will last you all day, even for break in. I always have a spare charged with me as well just in case.

Or a set of these:

And a decent charger:

I do still use my old MRC 959 charger to charge them usually though. I set it to .5A and let it go one at a time until it stops.
