Hey guys,

I am just curious as to how much the price of gas is where you are at. Please state at least what major metropolitan area you are from and state as well as how much gas is. (Also wanna know what the govt is gonna do about it to lower it)

I'm from Portland Oregon and gas is $1.90

Napa/Solano Counties in Cali (northern SF bay area). Approx $2.19/Gal for regular unleaded. Sad part, we are 20 to 30 minutes from Valero, Shell, Tesoro and Chevron Refineries.

Assuming thet your talking about regular unleaded, i'de say here on Long Island, it's about the same. I have no choice but to run high test in my Dodge, and that will range between 2.05 and 2.09. kinda sucks when you only get 8mpg.

And the Govt...........Hmmm,,,,,, Don't look like the give a shi% at the moment.

$1.92 regular
$2.01 medium grade (89 oct)
$2.08 high grade (92 oct)

It gets higher in the city and closer to the highway.

We're at $1.89 for the cheap stuff....it's freaking annoying. I got a 13 gallon tank and can't fill it full on $20!!! WTF?

try it on a 33 gallon tank. Cost me almost $60 when I had to fill it from a little below 1/4 tank on medium grade!

i run diesil (99 suburban) its like 1.69 at the cheapest place but $50 a week goes into that tank

What kinda cars are you guys driving to have a 30+ gallon tank???

I drive an iddy bitty toyota corolla that makes 40mpg

99 Tahoe Limited (2wd). 16/20 mpg (according to the sticker) with 3.42 gears but that's when I stay off the gas pedal which is pretty rare. Last trip I took with the Tahoe, I was averaging 18-22 mpg over a 748 mile trip (oneway). Filled up twice to get there. Only reason I got such good mileage is because I kept her in cruise control most of the time, set at 72-75 mph. Speedometer is a little off.

I thought Houston was expensive! After seeing what everyone else is paying, we're somewhat fortunate. I drive 90 miles a day, M-Th, to school and back. It's all highway miles and I get consistent 30 mpg. That's not even good for a Civic hatch though. But, it's got an Integra GS-R tranny which puts my tach at 3500 RPM when cruising at 70 mph in 5th gear.

87 octane - $1.65
89 octane - $1.75
93 octane - $1.85

Hey Diver, what's you normal gas mileage in the city? About 15 or 12mpg?

See, I get around 30-35mpg in the city. But it all depends on how I drive.

I would estimate about 15 but that is only because this truck doesn't see anything but long hauls. It just broke 21,000 miles last week and I've had this truck since new in August of 99. Only time this truck sees the city is when I cut through the city to get to the highway. For around town I use either my Kamikaze (83 celica GT) or my 02 Taurus. The 5.7 V8 sucks alot of gas to get the truck moving but one it's in the power band, it's ok. Lot's of power on tap. It takes about 330-348 miles per tank on the highway but that's only up to the 1/4 tank mark. Pretty good mileage for a 4780 lb truck.

Ehhh I have a 99 Ford POS Ranger that I swear gets the milage of a V8. I think I average about 17MPG and I drive 70 miles a day. I think It costs me about $25.00 to fill up from a quarter tank and I have to fill up twice a week. Friggin gas

Dang NNF too bad, my moms car get exaclty 23.5 MPG in the city and it cost about 20 bucks to fill the tank

my dads truck is a diffrent story gets about 19 MPG in the city and about 25 bucks to fill it.

ohh ya the local gas station that I never go to wantes 2.07 for regular.

We're @ $1.89 for regular which is what I run in 75% of my cars. It's high but look @ how much they've been paying for gas in most of Europe for many, many years. And you wonder why most Italians are driving scooters and Fiats..hehe.

You'd think my 94 Pathfinder had a 302+ V8 the way it sucks gas and thank god my RX-7 averaging 6 MPG is still in the shop.

about 1.95 a gallon for regular unleaded.

I was paying about 40$ toi fill my tank last year and now its about 45$, and, if I get the 'good poop' I'm up to almost 50.
