Here 87 octane is 1.70 or something like that. It was cool when I had my 4cyclinder for auto cross but a silvarado with auto trans drinks its!

$1.89 for 92 octane which is all I'll run in the SS. And it's $40 for a full tank and I get about 15 mpg on average.

Do you answer every thread?? Do you even have a drivers license yet?

LOL

He's 17. They allow a farm permit down there, right? :stick: All in good fun WL, all in good fun!

i thought 1.64 was bad:alarm: somedays down the street where i go to school they have 5 cents off so you can get it pretty damn cheap!

here in alabama gas is
$1.63 for 87octaine
$1.68 for 89 octaine
$1.75 for 93 octaine

not good for a mustang when i have a lead foot lol

My big truck is a 98 Isuzu 16 foot box with a Chevy 350 4 bolt. It gets around 5-6 mpg when its full. On a given day its not uncommon to do 300-400 miles. Do the math.

If it wasn't for the big truck I wouldn't look at the price of gas. We need it, they have it. Pay the man if you want to drive. Be lucky you don't live in Europe and pay 2-3 times a much. If the price of gas bothers you change your lifestyle and take public transit. Sounds kind of harsh but what other choice do you have.

The station I work at our Regular is 1.63 a gallon. We're the cheapest in town here. The other stations are around 1.70 for reg.

California has so many cars they tax gas more, plus it has additives and has to burn cleaner do to all the pollution. It's not fair for sure but Eddy is right its like $5 a gallon in Germany. In Humboldt we pay a tad more because only one company Renner trucks or boats the only gas to the entire county which is an ungodly amount of square miles (bigger than some states).

I am certainly all for muscle cars and SUV's but I think its time for the country as a whole to use alternative energy vehicles for daily commutes. At least during the time of year in states that have a lot of snow. We certainly have to start some where as far as freeing ourselves from OPEC.

$2.30 for plus at ARCO and thats the cheap stuff. Chevron is 2.40 for plus. All of you complaining about $ 1.75 can move over here to Southern Cali and live with the prices I would love to have a gas price of $1.75.

Lucky Bastards.:horsecrap

Gas is in the $2.20-2.30 range for Regular around here(San Diego). However, two of our cars run on premium so it gets pricey. I remember in the last gas price leap it cost more than $60 to fill up our Suburban, but when we went to Reno it was $.99 a gallon.

Holy crap .99 cents! I haven't seen that pirce since I started driving back in 91 in high school!Damn that is freaking Bad ass!!!

Now I don't feel so bad. And I'm damn thankful that I don't life in Cali anymore. I'm at $1.83 here. And I remember 2 years ago it was down to $.99 for a bit!!! WTF!!!!!!! It's time to run on moonshine again....

Agreed. Although some of these hybrid cars are kind of expensive. The Honda Civic hybrid car, Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius all start at $20k. That's more than most people want to spend on a Civic, economic or not. I think prices would have to be double what they are now before people really start to go out and look at cars like that.

One problem that could be addressed is all the trucks and SUVs that are out there now. SUVs and trucks are very popular now. They should start applying trucks and SUVs to the gas guzzler tax. I read an article that said a lot of the manufactures are coming out with more light trucks and SUVs just because they don't get taxed right now.

It's definitely a good time for people to start looking ahead into the future. Gas is only going to get more expensive, but it's going up faster than it ever has.

Haha, amazingly, moonshine does work(for a while). I know this because I have relatives in Alabama.
