How much is gas where you are at??

If a car and/or SUV doesn't make certain mileage requirements, they get a gas guzzler tax when purchased. I got one for my SUV, my dad also got one for his Cadillac STS. It's the "crossover" suv's like the pilot, rav 4, tracker ... those don't get taxed. I think they should get taxed if they want to join the truck bandwagon.

I have no clue what gas costs here, I don't use it. I ride my pony everywhere I need to go.

Right now the average price for unleaded is $1.89. Midgrade is $1.96 and the good stuff is sitting at $2.03.

I was just watching the news last night and the "experts" were figuring gas prices to top out close to $2.50 a gallon!

Complete BS......

right now around here(subburbs of philadelphia, pennsylvania)it is at $1.79 for regular.MY dad Dodge 3500 h/o Turbo cummins 6 speed gets about 18/20 mpg.Roadrunner what engine do you got in that dodge that you are getting 8mpg?

up here in NY its going around $1.78 for regular gas. it was about $1.81 down in Florida.

I ride my pony in the bedroom only... you get better mileage that way

Ahhh, I thought all SUVs, even full size, didn't apply to the gas guzzler tax. The Honda Pilot is pretty big, I'm surprised it doesn't apply to the tax.

SF, CA the average price for the 87 Octane is about $2.32....yes, I know it sucks and I can't even use 87 octane I have to buy premium.

When I was in college the price was (@ Arco) $0.87 for a little while....those were the days.

I hate having to buy premium gas.

Shoot, when I started driving, premium was $1.08 and low grade was $0.91 MAN, driving is getting expensive.

Gas was 31 cents a gallon when I started driving. Now it's $1.79 for Premium Chevron.
I run a limo, and I'm getting 6 MPG.
Cigarettes are also up there. I'm paying more per pack than what I paid for a carton when I started.
As soon as they go above $80.00 a pack, I'm quitting.
You think gas is bad? I'm paying $26.00 a gallon for nitro fuel, but I'm getting pretty good milage.
Your milage may vary.

Holy crap there are some old bastards here. .31 cents a damn gallon wtf?? Yeah gas is outrageous plus this stupid ass Multnomah county tax(local tax I wasn't expecting to pay this year) it frickin owned me. Lived in that county for like 5 months and had to pay $113.00 for it damn govt

Over here, petrol (gas) costs in your money $6.25
75% of that is tax.
That price is only for normal stuff. Super Unleaded costs more.

That's UK average right now...ouch. Italy is even more. I guess that's why they sell it by the quart. We really do take for granted how little we pay for gas in the USA and we all know bush could give a chit about alternative fuel sources.

That was 1964, little one.
31.9 per gallon to be exact, and it went into a 1963 Corvair Monza 900 convertible with a 4 speed.
Ever hear of a Corvair, kid?
And hey! Don't call me an old bastard. Drop the word 'old'.
Anyway, you're not OFFICIALLY old till you start to fart dust.

Rolex I'm the last thing from a kid yeah you have a few years on me. I'm not 15 dude. Yes I know what a corvair monza is. Did it catch on fire on you due to the bad fuel lines that GM put on it??
I'm 28 not born yesterday. First vehicle was a 65 Pontiac Lemans with a PMD 215 in it.

I know, I checked your profile. Just bustin' yor chops for calling me an old bastard.
Loved that Corvair so much that I got another one. Same cars, just different colors. No fuel problems, just leaking valve covers and burnt valves from running too hot.
Getting back to 'old', I don't look, act, or think like the old bastards my age.
I have the body and brains of a 20 year old.

$1.81 for the cheap stuff! and its not goin down any time soon,, figures I find a new job and its 100 miles a day round trip!

We just spent the last 5 days in San Simeon Ca. It's a trip that about a dozen of us make 2-3 times a year. So I'm on the way home yesterday and the RV needs gas so I pull off of Interstate 5 in Santa Nella. Now you know it's huge at 40 feet and even harder to find a gas stop to get in and out of. It holds 100 gallons when topped off. When you get down to about 15 gallons there needs to be replacement fuel soon. 85 gallons at $2.29 per gallon is $194.00. I burned 2 tanks in the past week. I've had to pay as much as $2.39 per gallon. It all depends on where you are and is it a holiday or vacation season (demand). It makes my pickup and my wife's van look like I'm filling up my nitro rc's with a squirt bottle.

$3.50 or more per gallon on the water. My Spyder would burn up 40 gallons easily in a day on Lake Shasta.

Forgot to mention that we limited out on fish each day at San Simeon!!!

It seems that I'm no longer the senior member.

For well over a year I held the seat of OLD MAN here at RCNT.
I'm glad I have a few to my Senior now. If it keeps going the way it is we will need to start a few Old Folks forums here.

Its a bitch when Colonoscopies and Prostates are the topic of conversation during halftime.

Rock on Old Men!
