The only time I know it's gotten to be too much is when I say, "Be right back, got to run an errand" and the response from the book keeper (aka, "The Wife") to me is, "anywhere but the hobby shop!"

That's when I put my keys back on the hook, go downstairs, look at my mangled rig and weep softly...

Since I started in late 2003 last I looked into was just over $3000 and that was before I bought my Savage even. My Tmaxx KILLED my bank

The trick is to say you have a craving for pizza. ead to the hobby shop, call the pizza place before you leave the LHS and pick up the pizza on the way home. Leave the R/C stuff in the car to be taken out later. -xmas-

I'm with most of these guys. I honestly have no clue how much. T-Maxx. RC10GT. NRS4. NRS4 3. Savage SS 4.6. Mini-T. Mayhem. 1 Plane. 2 Gliders. 1 Combat Wing. 1 GWS Dragonfly Heli. And untold amounts of spare parts and support equipment. Servos. Batteries. Chargers. Tools. Paint. Bodies. I could just go on and on. Just as most of these guys.
My opinion is if you have to count it up, it's no longer a hobby. I buy what I can when I can. I regret none of it. And I simply make sure that I feed the addiction just enough to keep it happy.

My shop keeps records of every purchase you make. They just gave me the list from 05. It's 6 pages and a grand total of $4,802.86!! LOL and thats not counting internet sales and ebay items!!!!

I told my shop if they showed me the total again I would stop shopping there...no reason to rub it in...LOL

This year alone...I care not to know!
Last year...Really don't want to know!

total for my RC life.....Don't ask!

ahh i can't remember what i spent!! i just know I'm up to #8 and i just got a heli yesterday!! lol

STOP WITH THE HELI TALK! Ugh. I'm in the middle of another feeding frenzy. About to buy a Hitec Eclipse 7 Spectra transmitter and an Intellipeak Ice charger all in preparation for building an Align T-Rex electric heli this summer....

wow. so me building a tmaxx is gonna keep me broke?
here is a list of what is installed. I had the full integy kit but learned my lesson with an all metal rig.

-O.S. .18TM motor w/stage 2 intake and tuned exhaust.
-Robinson Racing all metal 2 speed transmission with FOC and vented brake.
-Hardcore RC aluminum differentials
-Unlimited Engineering Bulkheads
-RPM upper and lower arms, shock towers, body posts/axle carriers
-Integy aluminum chassis
-Tsai's metal driveshafts all the way around
-Aluminum front/center/rear skidplates
-Big Joe 40 series tires
-Aluminum Hex hubs
-Futuba Digital FM transmitter and reciever
-high torque steering and throttle servos
-RC Solutions Roll Cage
-Big Bore Shocks
-Hardened clutch bell

Ratzo, I don't even want to ask. I saw your basement before the addition to your house ... it was overwhelming!

crap. good START!!!!

i was hoping to be done for a few months after installing the new diffs and tranny this weekend.

Wait until you run it again...and again...and again...the T-Maxx will provide you with feelings of a RC MoneyPit.

Well, after 2 months into this hobby. I have about a grand so far. 2 trucks and parts for both. The way I'm liking this sport, and want to enjoy it day after day, I think I need to keep the cc in the drawer. But hey, learned one thing in my life, that life is just too short not to enjoy the finer things in life.

yeah. this is my ultimate hobby. built my dream pc and finioshed the stereo in the truck. now all my xtra cash is sent to towerhobbies

Well I realy shited mesef 1 time......spent nearly 3grand on building a custom red berron plane, used lipol batteries for the oversized receiver.....went to take off & just as it left the grount the thing blew up.....BAD & LOUD.....i have 17 different warbirds about 600$-3000$ each......have a savage which nearly 2grand invested & a traxxas sport nitro that has about 500$ invested.....wish i had all the money invested all togather in these 2 hobbies right about now.....

it all adds up 10.00 here 20.00 there 50.00 over there and on and on and on
and after you try to add it up its mind blowing i look at it this way if you have the money to spend and you enjoy what you do then do it
