As a total newbie to the hobby and here (well I guess not so much anymore ), I can say this place has made the hobby extremely enjoyable (and expensive ). Great group of folks here willing to help and extremely patient! Can’t say I’ve ever had a bad experience here.
To be fair, those guys, the ones that aren’t friendly to newbies are equally unfriendly to the experienced as well. They’re just miserable people and it shows. Luckily, there’s lots of good people at the track that are willing to help.

There's all of 40 racers in my state, maybe that's why. Literally, they can't run 2 tracks at the same time on opposite sides of the state because there aren't enough racers. RC racing, the fastest dying sport in the US.
at the race track before 2.4 ghz .I have seen some dirty racers. you see when I raced am/fm we had to give our frequency # and there would be guys in pits that would have a spare radio and plug in your crystal and turn radio on...
and alot more....
but in General most older ones here are OK.but we are all moody no matter what one does. I just take that with a grain of salt
