I have always been interested in modeling and now I feel like I'm in a good spot to get into it! Have a friend who is pretty into it and helped me get set up with some pretty basic tools for it, most of which I had from RC. Dont worry, I'm still in RC! Just looking for something else to do when I'm not breaking cars 😅. Currently working on a Jeep TJ. Got a Humvee next!

need pic's.
i also build the hell out of model cars.
Just finished primer on my TJ. My Humvee is actually an old one from 03' that my uncle never built and gave to me to build

I was heavy into bulding and customizing model kits, then I got into RC and found I didn't have time for both. I've been feeling the itch again, afraid most of my paint has gone bad, which sucks because I have a bunch. Enjoy and don't rush. :)

I built a LOT of armor kits when I was in the USAF.
Have fun!

some of them are air brushed and some are spray paint. it's all in the prep. primer, wet sand, and clean it well.
Yea absolutely. I fine tuned my process on the Lexus RC body. Patience on prep is always rewarded in painting

That's something I always wanted to get into.
But I can't do the small parts and can't paint to save my life
I am not good with paint either. Plenty of practice required for us both I guess! 🤷‍♀️😉🤣

I lived in Tucson AZ. when I was in Jr. high and I won a Tandy Leathergoods tool kit from a model contest.
It was a Suzuki dirt bike but don't remember the model.
I actually still have the leather working tools.
