i pay £ 10 a year for my BRCA insurance here in da UK and it gets me a free subscription with a rc mag

Your BRCA insurance only covers you for use on private land, at tracks or race meetings organised by BRCA affiliated clubs.

FFS Phil, you're from Wales, not Slough - give the Ali G. crap a rest will you? :jk:

BTW, shouldn't it be "Help! Hedlu!" ???

More or less right its 3rd party liability insurance.

Therefore a McDonalds car park may well constitute private land. Obviously a little discretion is advised...weaving in and out of people on a Saturday afternoon will upset the land owner.......I've rarely had any trouble...

However at a sensible time of day, if Mr Plod comes knocking, mentioning that you have insurance will cover your arse for most things except noise complaints....

I see no reason why Mr Plod would have any legal standing to seize your car, unless of course you go WOT into his ankle/foot/head.

I would be polite to Mr Plod if he turned up and asked you to move on, mention you're insured and then quietly comply, making a fuss won't help but at least he won't try to have the car.......I've had one say quietly "Wait 'til I've gone........."

Thats a new strategy...next time plod turns up say "Is it 'cos I is Black??"

(Americans may not understand this post and think I'm racist...I'm not ok!)

BTW Theres a good track in Slough as well!

i have also ran with friends late at night 12am or later..at shopping center parking lots, lowes parking lot..have also been confronted by police officers just about everytime we run late at night..but once they see what we are up to they start a conversation about the cars..and have had one cop tell me he had friends in the hobby..then they leave and say have fun..i think you just found a cop having a bad day or just one that wasn't very friendly..

I was running mine about nine at night in a school parking lot when a local cop showed up and asked what we were doing. I told him and showed him and he said "okay" and drove on.

well I'm still goin down to mcdonalds car park and I'm takin my insurance card wit me
but so far no1s turned up and said nuffink o sorry i mean "nothing" lol

we do have ali G here in the states....what's funny is he just re-hashed all his old skits from the UK and re-did them here w/ our gov. officials.....the UK ones were better because most of them didn't seem to get it so they played along for a while....our versions they just got pissy and walked off the sets after a few mins.....

Yeah the first time i saw Borat, I nearly p****d my self. Or my favorite who wants to win an ounze.

I liked the US wind-ups better. The "F.B. aiiee" one is particularly memorable.

yeah he does pump it up more in our versions but the actual interviews are about 1/2 the time.....I loved the one he interviews the UK drug Czar (or whatever his title is) he had that guy answering some really STUPID questions.....then he does it here and it lasts like 2 mins and is asked to leave.....
