i got a USED scx6 at beat the creek! super stoked!
this things got some expectations to fill lol
the general plan for it is a capable crawler. but the parts for this thing are pricey!!!!
it is a stock rubicon, but i also have the honcho boxy, just not the cage for the back. i prefer the honcho but plan to eventually get that sweet f250 body for it.
i got some upgrade parts to start off and thank goodness i did, i got to see what undisclosed damage there was to it. will get to that
swapped out the
front and rear shock towers

i replaced the steering knuckles and one axle is broken, and the wheel fell off lol, it is an over 80$ repair so gonna have to wait a bit

i have specific plans other than just crawling with the truck tho.
my wife sets up as a vendor at events and such. i always have to pack all the stuff, 3 tables chairs coolers, merch its a lot, i plan on loading all of that into and onto an outdoor wagon and hauling it slowly to the designated spot.

i need a few items still before we can start doing that tho.
the ball is missing! as well as 2 bearings, the other 2 were seized up.

rusted as can be, i did run it thru mud, but i just dont see that one fifteen minute run could have done any of that,
so
onto the list of things i need to slowly aquire

ESC Tray & Servo Mount Aluminum
Replacement front axle shaft (to fix the broken side)
2x replacement bearings (plus 2 fresh ones — the others seized)
Trailer ball mount (gooseneck or pintle hitch style — missing)
Check rusted components – Possibly:

Link pivot balls
Driveshaft pins
Lower shock bolts
Motor mount screws

F-250 hard body (for scale realism and flat bed tow-style)
Rear Honcho cage ?
Upgraded front axle housing
(stronger )(thought i had this, i got for wrong truck lol oopsie)
Tow hitch system (a solid gooseneck style)( coupler to take a wagon)
HD steel driveshafts (eventually, especially for wagon hauling)
High-torque servo (60KG+ waterproof)(can i afford a reefs one day?)
Lighting kit (helpful at evening events and looks cool)

Outdoor wagon (or modded garden cart – test tow capacity)

Flat bed or tray system (optional – for hauling stuff directly on truck bed)
Bearing kit
Stainless screw set
(mud and rust-resistant)(not stainless.. too soft)

Hobbywing EZRun MAX5 HV G2 Sensored Brushless ESC & Motor Combo w/56118SD (800kV)

Upgrade to steel transmission gears

lower gear ratio (swap pinion/spur or transmission gears)
center driveshafts to hardened steel

This will be a long project as i have a lot of other projects and these are all extra expensive.
but i look forward to building it

the saga continues,
since the bearings in the front are seized, i feel its a safe assumption the others are as well. so i ordered a set from fast eddy.
then ordered the cheapest 2.9 rims i could find, but i know this wont be the last set i aquire.
the front cvd was gone so we got a new front set on the way.
i havent gotten into the gears yet i have been so strapped for time, 2 hours sleep in between 24 hour shifts hell of a weekend I'm beat still

soon we will have a running mule rather than the lame one

@Doom!

I'm mainly finding this type of hitch. i dont think its gonna be strong enough for my purposes.
I'm trying to hook up a wagon like this
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2955465827...c9qTJVhPZTuKtTzlg0kDhH8ZBOaM|tkp:BFBMqqSC1N9l

so i can haul stuff at my wifes events
i dont have the honcho cage, so mines just got the bare rear chassis

I'm wondering, can i just connect the handle to the bumper area? zip ties or something?

also working on a reel mower so i can drag it behind the mule for funsies

took the Mule out for a run today. was a good walk. made it the whole circuit on one battery, that was surprising.
i need some more weight believe it or not, a few times i got hung up on a climb because the front would lift off the ground, I'm surprised tbh, its a heavy rig lol.
it handled the trail perfectly, it goes offroading just fine, its large enough that it doesn't get hung up on the groundfall like the other rigs do due to their ground clearance.
I'm gonna look around and see if theres a way of lowering my cg.
saw a few geese with their gosslings, and saved a few cicads from gettin stepped on.

I was tinkering with the gooseneck and wondered how it would look on the Mule.
It looks great!
Was just for funsies as the trailer goes on the cen f450. And I have a wagon on the way for the 6
But it did look good on it

Well, it was either that or mow the yard... wise choice! :hehe:
I'm highly allregic to the grass fml, i do need to get it mowed, m other trucks geep getting bogged down lol

got the wagon in tried it out, it pulled me on the wagon thru the yard with SOME but minimal difficulties.

ill be dropping a fusion 8ight in the next few weeks, this honker of a battery is AMAZING!!
ill need to make a weight for the front to help keep the front down, but it will do the job of hauling stuff around at events just fine

Swapped out the rest of the bearings for the mule last night
Added marine grease to the axles cause I had some left
Rolling smoother and quieter now than he was
