I'm sure it's something as trivial as a loose set screw. From your description it doesn't sound like anything is broken and a spinning driveline is a classic symptom of a loose screw or missing pin.


EDIT: I rewatched the video and from the slight whistling sound it sounds like there may be a gear improperly spaced. The diffs may be shimmed wrong which would prevent proper contact.

Ok. However, turning the main shaft by hand and turning it with the engine are two different things. I'd still start it up, put it on the ground, hold it stationary and give it gas to see what spins and what doesn't.

well guys for those of you who said it was the axle pin you were correct. i was in longview for a family visit and stopped by a lhs and picked up some pins. when i got back i put one in the missing spot and went out and ran it. runs like a charm now no slipping. i appreciate all of yall's help and as soon as it dries up here ( raining cats and dogs) i will get a video of my track.

Which was it? Front/rear?

I've lost rear drive on my MT's before and it's surprising how much FWD just doesn't do with these things. When you loose front drive, you get excess rear wheel spin, but it usually still goes pretty good.

it was a front one. i was really surprised that it fixed it since its so tiny. and just incase i checked all the set screws and they were fine. i took it outside ran it and all went well i even put it against a wall and hit the throttle and the tires tried to spin but no slippage. now i just got to wait for the weather to get better before i can test it on the track
