i file them under stupid gimmicks. don't need them. won't use them. not amused by them. not willing to pay for them.
for example: driving on 2 wheels is something iv messed around with for decades with various degrees of success. with no aids its fun to try and rewarding when you can pull it off, even if it's only for about 8-10 feet. with an aid its pointless, no skill required the truck does the work for you. that sucks the fun out of it. don't need/want that participation trophy in my life.
I see your point and don't disagree with you

I am so excited for this release - I have been checking every day for the last while for the 2.0 announcement. Will have to pick one up for once everything dries up around here!
Same ! I was so excited when I saw it!

I'm going to disagree on this one. The aids aren't fool proof, and will still require a bit of skill to master. Stringing some of these skills together to make new tricks could be quite fun. Not every style of rig is for everybody. I always thought four wheel steering was gimmiky until I got one. Actually pretty cool.
I agree
I'm looking at it lie training wheels?

Having watched the LVC RC video on the truck I don't really think you are paying for the aids - and the way he presented them there is still a degree of skill required to complete the tricks succesfully or chain them in a coherent manner.

The upgrades theyve made to durability and performance of the truck are worth that increased cost, at least to me. Besides, at least you guys won't be having to pay in Canadian dollars haha

That's what I'm looking forward to
The servo seems ready to rock and that's the only issue I've had with my king sling

I will be purchasing one to go with my other LMTs😀

@majin

I'm not familiar enough to know, so time to pick your brain. .

Is the Kyosho USA-1 not allowed or not competitive?
It is as far as I know I just have my heart set on a digger because the kit I want is specifically made to fit the digger and use its parts
The usa-1 is apparently a beast

i am looking for the digger specifically so i can then eventually order this

i havent come across any setups like this for the USA-1, i plan on getting one of them as well so i can then enter each race class for my club

There's a group on Facebook called Solid Axle Motor Mayhem. It goes by SAMM. Join that, if you're not already a member. People frequently sell LMT axles, driveshafts, shocks, and transmissions. You could piece together the drivetrain components and plastics you would need for that Ogre without buying a full RTR truck. Plus you'll likely want a better motor/esc setup and a lighter body on a carbon race rocket anyway (something sensored).

Also, as another option, people dump used RTR diggers and SUDs for cheap in that group, frequently...buying a beater, tearing it down and rebuilding/refreshing into a race rocket is always a blast. I bought a full RTR LMT minus radio gear and battery on there for $200 once and it wasn't even in bad shape!

When I was hearing things through the grapevine about it coming with a wheelie-assist system, my first thoughts were "oh...lame"

And then I saw that video above with it in bicycle mode.... that is FREAKIN COOL

Worth $750? oof...idk

Why not the aids? It seems like it's just for freestyle stuff I don't know till I get one lol

Another reason to give the masses a full-blown kit to do with what they want. I am not a monster truck kind of person in the hobby side of things, nor have I stepped out of this forum in search of what the thing's all about, but man, that chassis grabbed my attention!

Couldn't agree more!

If that chassis grabbed your attention, check out the HackFab Starfighter too!

It's another little-known, simpler, carbon fiber race chassis kit for the LMT. I had the honor of working with HackFab on testing these out. Ran 2 StarFighter trucks for 2 seasons and they were untouchable. Ogre looks sick too, I just don't have any hands-on with it since it dropped after I left the racing scene.

Tha darn soreness to it all for me is ,,, I already have three of the the things , I wonder about parts being interchangeable , I’ve got two that are treal parts end to end and I would love to improve this one by switching stuff out

The axle housings are redesigned on the new one (3rd time’s a charm?) but that won’t stop you from being able to swap in all the existing upgrade parts from the past models. It’s pretty much the same truck as LMTs past.

That's annoying! Also, my bad! I haven't been on there since all that IFS vs Solid Axle drama when Traxxas dropped that new Big Foot. I couldn't stomach those nerds any longer 😂

when a kit is offered manufactures have a tendency of making them a hopped up version. like the kit has to be better mechanically than the RTR out of the box. which means it cost to much. i think the LMT-1 (are we calling it that yet?) was guilty of that.
