sell me your truck!!! wanna trade for one?
They're locked up in the basement for a rainy day!

The whole thing is kind of a sore subject for me. I stopped racing MTs when a good friend who ran our racing club passed away suddenly. Those trucks are sentimental to me because of the experiences my kids and I had with him. I flip through RCs like crazy but those trucks will never leave me.

when a kit is offered manufactures have a tendency of making them a hopped up version. like the kit has to be better mechanically than the RTR out of the box. which means it cost to much. i think the LMT-1 (are we calling it that yet?) was guilty of that.
That LMT was guilty of being marketed as a "super limited" "race kit" when, in reality, it was neither of those things. It was such a joke in the racing community. The 15" wheelbase wasn't even legal for the biggest classes in the biggest racing clubs, at the time. Losi said they were giving the racers what they asked for....no racers asked for (or wanted) a BS bolt on roll cage, huge aluminum wheelie bump stop, or flag mount. And the upgraded aluminum parts they offered in the kit (the rear lockouts) were known axle destroyers.

If I sounds like a hater, it's because I am. I was so excited to hear about a kit coming...and then it was THAT. 🤮

I looked at the TLR kit a couple months back when they could be had for $370 on Amazon, but nearly every review I found had bad things to say about the lack of quality control... that and the longer wheelbase vs the standard Digger models gave me pause.

Ironically this LMT 2.0 is also a 15 inch wheelbase haha

As for upgrades on this one vs the LMT 1.0 - from looking at what they've done upgrading to have the same stuff as what they've done would be pretty intensive - maybe your $750 in upgrades on an existing truck vs a new 2.0 would be better served that way but from watching the Horizon deepdive into the new truck there are quite a lot of things different between the two trucks beyond just the SMART gyro / receiver system.

I’ve tried to look up part numbers , I can’t determine if axles are interchangeable with the original digger I’ve got three of these things but want to switch the treal parts to the new one just can’t get it figgered

Well,,, like I was saying , I’ll just compare the parts for myself , the only thing I had to change was the shock connect to the axle I’ve got it figgered they are perfectly straight and working perfect I’m not to impressed with the springless shocks n dampers on this thing do we shall see but I’ll get it better dialed in than it is now , stainless steel screws and some more spacers in between the mounts , put my raw 500 servo in it , just got the front done to this point , rear tomorrow, then I got to put the fling king back together and ready to sell , it’s basically brand new , got it dirty once , I think that was it 😂😂 I opened it up for the first time in a long time, and jeee ! There’s that brand new 3s battery I couldn’t find, dead as a stone , but I low voltaged it on nmh setting for a while , she bounced right back ! Anyways , rear axle film @ 11 ,,,,,tomorrow

thats a secsy beast

Picked up a 2.0 Grave Digger today now that my LHS got them in stock, think I might be the first person in Canada to get my hands on one! Very impressed in the limited driving I was able to do in my front yard and the street, started raining about 15 minutes in unfortunately but I'm looking forward to ripping up some dirt lots with it!

As a question, have any of you guys tried bodies (Jconcepts or otherwise) made for the original LMT to see how they fit on this longerwheelbased version? Would appreciate any info about that!

the real question is will changing the body effect wheelie or freestyle mode sense the weight balance and CG of the truck will be altered.

I don't think so, in his more recent video on the 2.0 LVC RC swapped the electronics from his new 2.0 into one of his older 1.0 chassis with custom body and it still worked fine, just some troubles with bicycles because of the shorter wheelbase

I’m still putting things together , so far everything is the same as even the sling king parts are the same , I got tons of parts now

O. K. ,, I got the thing all upgraded , perfect pass servo all the metal axles , carriers and knuckles , limit straps and the 4s battery , the stock shocks are completely worthless and the monster servo can’t move the big stock tires in grass at all basically, anybody find REAL SHOCKS for this thing ?

Been thinking about buying one of these Grave diggers.
Any reason I can’t swap out the battery plug for a Traxxas style so I don’t have to buy special batteries and a different charger for it.
I have a lot of Traxxas 2S,3S,4S batteries long and short versions. Will any of the Traxxas LiPo batteries fit in this thing?

You can fit just about any battery in an LMT since it's just a tray with a rubber strap.

No issue changing battery connectors either.

I saw where there are some battery adapters out there on the market. Trying to figure out which one I need to get to make a Traxxas battery plug into a standard Losi RTR plug. Most I am seeing are described as more or less backwards of what I am needing.

Anyone have any links to some good adapters so I can plug my Traxxas batteries into a Losi RTR?

If they are still using Spektrum ESCs, they usually come with the IC5 (EC5) connectors. I've used these without issues.
