I was under the impresion that he had killed more than four people, but I can honestly say he exhibited a serious change of cemeanor, even denouncing his ties with gangs several years ago. He has spent half his life in prison and while I don't see just letting him go free for good behavior they could let him live as an anti-gang activist (he has already given hundreds of anti gang speches) while still in the prison comunity. I can recal several people who murdered multiple individuals that were not granted amnesty, but redued from the death scentence to life in prison or less. Very informative link 4U2NV, thanks for the read.

I think that we all have decisions to make in life and whether hes guilty, Life is too precious to throw in a negative in the equation again. IMO

IMO I think it’s the right thing to do so, after what he has done, I just don’t understand the people who vote against it but that’s just my opinion, remember that.

Yeah I kinda feel an eye for an eye, but yet still not sure right ya know? Kinda like spanking your kid for hitting someone. Dont get me wrong, I was raised on a firm hand, and will do the same for my kids, but the dudes been in prison for 26 years already. Why now? Why not like 25 years ago?

I read a book (a couple times actually) called "Monster: a autobiography of a L.a. Gangbanger" by Sanikya Shakur that was the founder of the 8 trey gangsters, which was really interesting. I highly recomend to read it, if your into that type of stuff. Kinda cool how he turned himself around and speaks against it now.

Ya, that is a good read. i actually only got half way before I put it down.

Why now insted of 25 years ago? thats how long the system takes. People don't just get put on deathrow then executed the next day. it take time, usually a number of years. When there is an oposition to the execution it will take even longer, it is all a game of plotics invloing someones life man.

it is sad but that is the way it goes. Could you imagine having to live for 30 years, knowing you are going to die...soon? You don't know when or where, but soon. Until then you sit in your cage.

I read something of that anture as well, On my AIM homepage...

I doubt he will be exectued this evening, they usually try to do these things during the day time hours. Along with all the people who will be watching him take his last breaths there is also expected to be an astouding turnout of his folowers. The police have stated thast they will not allow one single person to approach the site of the said execution in fear of someone sttempting to do something stupid.

I'm normally against capital punishment but I'll be glad to see him fry. IMO he's in the same class as Hitler...his gang still lives on today to terrorize and brutalize.

As I understand it, California has one of the longest, most drawn out appeals process in America, and since Mr. Crip was busted before all this new legislation enacted to speed the process up, it's been even longer for him. The only reason I know even a little bit about this was because of all that Scott Peterson hoopla. As I understand it, he gets an automatic appeal, but because there are so few state employed appeals lawyers for capital cases, it's going to be something like six years before he's even assigned a lawyer!

Now, if our friend Crip here had been tried in Texas, the guy would've been worm food LONG ago!

There are valid arguments for commuting to life and for sticking him. Personally, I think it's a case-by-case issue, but generally speaking, some of these folks sitting on deathrow are the absolute worst of the worst.

I believe here in WA, the deed happens at the stroke of midnight or 12:01. Listening to something on a news channel this morning, some of the law enforcement is expecting riots or something of the sort. We haven't had a good riot lately...

LOL. Just what the doctor ordered to liven thigns up. I was under the impresion that the executions take place during the day... I think it would be a little easy for apissed off gang member to hide in the shadows with a rifle or other weapon and take a couple shots before he was even located.

i damn sure would NOT be attending thie particular exectuion at any rate. Something will more than likely happen to stir up trouble.

OK, let me clarify a few things.

First Arnold denied his clemency today in a written speech. So he gets the chair at 12:01 tonight. No other options left for him. Even the State Supreme Court turned down his appeal.

I believe in the death penalty. Consider these two facts. First, his victims did not have some 20 odd years to appeal their deaths when Tookie took them. Second, Tookie would already be dead if it were not for the death sentence. In Calif when you are sentenced to death row, you are put in your own cell, by yourself, with your own TV, toilet, bed, sink, whatever you want. You have the best living conditions of all the prisoners. The only bad thing is that you only get one hour out of your cell a day. That's right, 23 in, one out.

If he simply had a life sentence he would have been housed in the general population all these years. Most likely he would be already dead from an inmate stabbing or killing. Had he won his appeals and had a new hearing on his sentence and it was found that he should have his sentence lightened to life, he now would be in general population, so see above. If Arnold had granted him clemency, again, same as above. He is actually safer by being on death row. (except for the sudden jolt at the end!)

BTW, I like the speed at which Texas gets the deed done!

Well, the articles I have read have him scheduled to be executed at 12:01 AM PST tonight and that Arnold denied his request for clemency.

Like most of you, I have to think something is going to happen riot-wise. I hope not, but those bangers make some of the previous asshats on this forum look like geniuses!

"Hey dog, I say we go start some s*%t up at the STATE PRISON! We just GOTS to do it for OG, yo!" Yeah, there's a couple of MIT grads for ya!

My guess would be he knocked over another couple gangbangers so IMO its no real big loss. Life is life no matter what, but a gang is something thats (Most of the time) volluntary. I know when I was in my younger teens the gang scene around here was pretty thick. I've had a few scuffles on a few occasions with gangs in my day. Basically being in the worng place at the wrong time. I myself was never into the gangbanging poop, but I have alot of buddies that were and a few that still are. But for the most part, there isnt to many gangs around anymore. At least not the gangs like there used to be. Around here its basically just a bunch of mexicans and Asain kids that feel they have something to prove and wear there pants off there ass, but nothing like it used to be.
