Getting a new truck soon, need some help choosing.

I have just sold my dad's MGT 4.6 SE for $240 and we have the money now so he is letting me have the money to buy a new electric truck. I know I most likely will not pay for it all with that money so I need to save just a little more. I am looking to get either a 1/10th or 1/8th electric off-road truck or buggy. I would rather it be 4wd, so that excludes 1/10 trucks, but I still may get one if I fall in love with one. Here are a few I have been looking at for a while now, just let me know what you think of them, and if you have any other trucks that are good for racing as this will be my first race season at some local tracks.

Traxxas Slash 4WD RTR

CHANGE OF PLANS: I will be buying a brand new DX3S probably thursday or so, and that will be what the money is used for, then when I save up, I am going to buy a new SC trucks for bashing and racing.

If you are just bashing, I'd really recommend either of the Short Course trucks that you show here.

I'd go with the Slash 4x4. We have the 2wd and I really like it even though I'm a hard core nitro guy.

i will be racing this summer and bashing as well when I'm not racing so I think your right.

Yea, i had a slash 2wd and i loved it, but I sold it when I really needed the money. I changed my plans, I am buying a DX3S and using that money from the truck for it. I will buy a sc when I save up the money.

Either go rtr 4x4 slash or something 1/8th scale buggy. Baddest rig I've had, besides my compers, was a 8th scale Caster buggy, other than that, the 4wd slash is the next sweet rig.
