Gear lubrication help...

Just picked up a used traxxas stampede vlx 4x4 desided to tare it down to clean and replace bearings. Need a little info on what to lube my gear with. Please and thanks.

For most of my exposed gears/axle joints/cups, I use bicycle chain lube. Wax based that doesn't attract dirt.

I'm more concerned about my internal front and rear drive gear...

Oh, I just use normal axle grease from autozone for those. I've had the same tub of grease for 10+ years... don't use it except for diff ring/pinions.

OK when I split my drive train front and rear therected was grit inside so I cleaned it and wanted to make sure I lubricate it properly.
