Went to visit a friend today and when I got there 5 other friends were already there. They were all talking crap about Ford and Chevy mixed in with a lot of Crown and sprite. Next thing you know somebody's pulling out a tow strap and making bets on which will out pull the other. It was an 04 F-150 4 door and an 04 4 door both completely stock 4x4's both with the large v 8's. The strap got tight and it looked like that Chevy was in reverse, even with the brakes locked the Ford was still gaining speed. LOL

I'm a ford guy but drive a Gmc, Its been a GREAT truck and Id buy another one in a second. Granted I wanted a F-150 when I was truck shopping, but seen this, and fit what I was looking for. I'm a huge auto guy (and even have a auto club www.atomicz.com free plug..lol) and today all the vehciles are getting to be so dependable, there isnt much room for the Vs. fights anymore. Unless its with Dodges. There just junk..Love the new Hemi's? Hope ya love Recalls.. over 40 of them since released.. And I swear the trannys are packed with Jello..lol...anyway, my two bits

Another Ford guy that drives a Chevy here. The extended cab part is roomier on a Chevy, and all around more comfortable. I would still like to see that tug of war. Glad the Ford won! Next time they get drunk bring your video cam! LOL!!!!!!!!!

No problem, It's all in fun thats why I posted it. I don't drive a Ford or Chevy so didn't really care who won, but It was funny as hell to watch over $70,000 worth of trucks get mistreated LOL.

Before they started someone said something about breaking there trucks for nothing but they both said screw it they are under warranty. In the end nothing was broken except the pride.

Them crown lid's are precious,I've got one on top of my dale earnhardt hat where the button use to be so now i can pretend to be king for a moment,and ford's are awesome,chevys are ok,and all of us drunk guys usually find something stupid to do.

ford = work truck (thats what there all used for here)
chevy = comfort

the whole ford chevy thing in my book is all about looks.. i like the look of the chevy better

Every time we go into the mountains for what ever reason their is always a busted down Ford, yet my Dodge has never broken down or gotten stuck. Never driven a Chevy or GMC.

I can actually say that after driving Ford and Chevy's new 1/2 ton trucks, I bought the better truck. It was a Nissan Titan. There is no comparison. Fastest off the line, tows more, more useful bed, (better stock components, i.e. dana axles) actually made in America, better gas mileage, more interior room. And only one recall pending (brakes wear out fast).

If any of you ever have a free day, go test drive one of these. Even if you aren't buying. You have to try a 0-60 run in this thing(the dealer will probably let you, mine did before I bought). I know its not that useful of a feature, but damn, it feels strange for that big of a truck to get to 60 in under 7 seconds. Its even better to watch those little import tuner cars (soup can exhaust and all) getting beat to the next light.

Hey mines a reg cab! Its also lowered with 22" inch rims tucked under it, but I resent that..lol.. Around here all the hillbillies drive z-71's (like the late 90's type) extended cabs with tons of chrome thingamajibs (Except wheels, and if they put rims on, there like 15 or 16 inch Amercian rwacing rims) with Dual exhaust that makes them sound like there going 100mph when there going like 30.. I do like that they like Stickers though..hehe.. My cutter has cut its FAIR share of #3's and Chevy bowties..lol

Anyone see "Red neck water skiing"? Sounds right up their alley.

The vid used to be at rcpics I think. Some guys took a truck, jacked the rear end off the ground, put a empty (bare) rim on instead of one with a tire, wrapped a rope around it, led the rope into a pond. They turned the truck into a high speed winch! They would swim out in the pond about 100 feet with the rope, hold onto it and floor the truck. It would drag their sorry ass back to shore fast!
