Well I decided to try my hand at airbrushing on a spare body I had. Also first time using liquid mask.
I didnt want to wait long so I spend along time drying each coat of mask with a hair dryer.
I also put it on with a foam brush wich didnt work the greatest.
Had trouble with cutting it around the bed and windows, my hand were too big lol.
Also must had some blue flakes or something on the front part, even though I cleaned it out before doing the white because theres a bunch of blue spots on the front now :\

Oh well, was just practice, still lots to learn I'm sure.

shoot, that ain't too shabby bro. I wouldn't use a foam brush though, which I gather you've already decided not too in the future. A foam brush may put air bubbles in the mask which could cause you to get un-clean lines once you start cutting designs.

All in all a nice first time job! I would hazzard to guess that those air bubbles from the foam brush also led to the little dots of blue overspray.

Not bad at all Lloyd.

As you figured out, don't use a foam brush. I just pour a big ol glob right in to the lid, then brush it all in one direction, and the next coat I brush it in the opposite direction. I will do two coats in each direction, but I prefer to let it dry on it's own rather than blow drying it.

If you blow dry it you have to be even more careful than the coats are relatively thin or they will take forever to dry because you'll get an outer skin and it will prevent drying.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I'll be getting myself a brush to put the mask on for sure but I tell you what, I prolly wont use tape much anymore, liquid masking is awesome!

So... What are you planning to do with that Axial body? I was planning on changing the orange out with red on my ARTR and will be needing a lid...

You want this lid for your crawler?

Thanks guys. This was my last one Randy. What rigs did the ones you bought fit?

Ok Thanks bro.

Thanks ya'll. I need to get a new lid for my comper soon to start our season so I'll be doing it up too. I really really like this water cleanup paint too, very convenient.

Ok thanks Joe. This is the first time using that paint and I just backed it with pactra sprint white wich is what I've been backing all of my lids with wich worked great on them, I'll pick some of that up though.
