Saved this! Thanks! I was wondering if there was a site to play with gearing/kv for motors.

The kit comes with a 24T/48P pinion gear, so I was going to with "backwards" with that info for notice size and such. I'd like to run it 3S.

I have a very old program, Calc RC, that I use (shown in earlier pics).

I have the CalcRC setup exe file if anybody wants a copy of it.

There are calculators on google play.

I saw the input for tire changes too. I thought that would get you some easy answers.
There are lots of these calculators out there! 😁

There is one thing i need to ask.
After a first wash (just a shower)
all the screws are....become rusty... it doesn't look ok to me. Could you tell me how you avoid this?

Use whatever water displacing spray that fancies you.

One is a cheap chinese car.... DON'T BUY A CHEAP CHINESE KNOCK OFF CAR!!!
You will be forever replacing the cheap knock off parts until you give up on it.
Just noticed this.
This is EXACTLY what i'm doing to my WL 144010.
holy moly.....1 battery = 1 part.
i really love this nice car, i appreciate it as it was my very first (for just 1 moth)
But i'm so close to give up trying and just put it on shelve

I did put mine in a box and move on.
They are great when try are new but the cheap parts, less than ideal designs all show their weakness quickly.
I like that they get ppl interested in RC but also, they make ppl feel like RCs are money pits that break all the time.
There are good RC out there.

What do you think you'll replace it with?

Oh, my friend. you can check a few posts ago what i already replace it with )
Its so nice (i have to fight with my wife for right to drive it.... and we aren't teenagers....39 and 47 yo...)

So i'm looking for a new SSTE now as a second car to have a fun together

I remember seeing this one I think.
They look like great trucks!!!
The SSTE looks nice!!! 😎
I am a fan of the Kyosho Javelin. The Hobao Cage Truggy reminds me of the Javelin a bit. I think I like that one too!!! 👍
Night and day difference between WL and Hobao!!! Totally different quality though, right?
I'm glad you found a good one!!! 😁

BTW. regarding SSTE>>>
Can someone PLEASE tell me a compatible motor size rage?
I couldn't find information apart "1/8 scale motor 1million amps ESC"
just trying to see overall cost of it and room for upgrade

(i hate this hobby!!! i do already lose a good half of my sitting room to have a desk to maintanence and repair cars...chargers, batteries...aaa. i need a bigger house)

Most 1/8 scale RCs seem to run motors around 2000kv, and generally have a 6S capable ESC in the 150A-200A range.

This is true for my Traxxas Summit, E-Maxx and both of my 1/8 Corally models.

right. but i'm looking for compatible diameter range.
as sometimes i can see 5*** motors as for 1'8 scale, sometimes 42**
in case if i unable to use (later) 5*** motor - there is no particular reason to go for 200A ESC

You will want at least a 4274 size motor in the 2000kv range for that 1/8 truggy.
A 4268 size motor is typically used in a 1/8 scale buggy, and a 4274 size motor is typically used in a 1/8 scale truggy. Key word is typically.
