Thanks for stick with me here guys, so I think I’ve found the moment of disconnect!

The shaft spins up fine but doesn’t turn the “collar?”, if I spin the wheel the collar spins? Is there a pin missing, looks like a slotted collar?

When you pull that driveshaft out...

please take a picture of the "bone" ends where the pins are (or supposed to be). If the pin is missing, then the hole most likely got to wallowed out and the pin just fell out... driveshaft it's toast. If the pin is just worn down and still in the driveshaft, it may be possible to repair with new pin, but that's another level of upkeep/maintenance and another possible thread needed.

Thanks Rusty,

The new driveshaft was around £7, so I just bought a new one. I'm guessing it'll be easier to pull the front end away to replace rather than messing around with the motor end? I've stopped stripping at this point until the part arrives...Its all part of the fun isn't it.

Either way will work, but I think removing the rear assembly is easier than the front, no steering linkage to deal with, and the motor can stay in place. Two screws at the top and I think 4 screws on the bottom (including the two small ones in the skid plate).

Good luck with the repair, unusual fail for sure.
