While waiting for my MN82 to arrive I was thinking about where to use it. I have a large area out the front of the house which is unused, so after 2 days of hacking (it was a bit of a jungle) I cleared some space and made this!

I knew there was a reason I kept all the old branches and lumps of concrete, I just didn't know what for at the time 😂
Plenty of space to expand if needed.

As if by fate, the courier turned up with the truck just as I finished! It's bigger than I was expecting.

Awesome playground potential. From the looks of that MN, I'd be dying to go ahead and step up to 7mm hex wheels and I'd grab some Injora 1.0" beadlocks and squishy tires for it. Those MN wheels/tires look kinda small on there.

Not even used it yet as I've been attaching all the details, colouring the lights and messing with the rear suspension. View attachment 200555
Took a leaf off and heat shrinked to stop it snagging. Not sure it needs shocks too but they can stay for now
Yeah, I doubt you need both sets of springs.

Well it looks like I need a tougher course as it went over without too many problems. Low speed control is excellent, although reverse can be a bit lively if you're not gentle with the throttle. There's a full speed mode on the controller too so you can rip around at a dizzying 10 mph lol.
I've had it completely apart now. Spent half an hour fettling one of the front shocks as the suspension didn't sit level and it was bugging me 😂
Also added some lead weight in a convenient recess under the bed.
Next is painting the 'TOYOTA' logo on the tailgate white to complete the authentic look and raiding the boy's toys for a driver.
I'm well impressed for £37 😁

I have a pool and concrete in my backyard. Don't think the Mrs. Will let me tear that up. 🤣
You're just not being creative enough. Dye the pool liner lava orange. Orange lighting too. Build rope bridges from each side of the pool to a floating platform full of volcano looking terrain and obstacles. Oh, and a great big central skull shaped evil command center. Pretend the water is lava.

My inlaws used to have a petfect yard for crawlers, and their pool was landscaped with big dirt mounds with boulders around it. Of course this was before I was into RC's. they had moved before I realized what an awesome playground that could have been. :(

It looks like a fun obstacle for sure. Throw some sticks across it in a few spots. Might make it more interesting? But you're off to a great start!
