Favorite or Go-to Body?

Thats a nice Lancia Stratos, never seen one in Gulf colors.

I went with JConcepts Hi Flow 0222, but I still haven't painted them, really wish they made 84-88 or 89-95 toyota pickup SCT bodies.

I wish they made 72-78 datsun 620 or 79-84ish Datsun 720 sct bodies.

Lets see.
I be wanting a AE86 body for short course truck so I can try and attempt to make a 1:10th scale RC Initial D car.
Maybe a 2006 silverado / sierra to make a replica of my uncles 1:1 truck. Or a 95 Civic coupe.

I'm beginning to understand why you break so many parts...

maybe. I just took the body, put it on the floor and stepped on it. And then a few seconds later it pops back out and perfectly normal

I'm gonna take a stab at the correct answer to the question... anything other than an Axis SC body . Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. What will they come up with next... a Honda Ridgeline SCT?

Oh, wait... the 2024 models are coming out shortly. Leaps and bounds better body style that I could live with most definitely IMHO

Ugly truck
THIS is a REAL truck. Painted on a wet/dry overcast day.

I like this body as the fenders / wheel wells go up so the tire does not rub when suspension is fully compressed.
Officially out of duratrax competition orange and duratrax light blue paint.
I only have duratrax silver streak and duratrax burgundy in my collection. Next time I paint up a body which be a while, I'll get some more paint. Maybe a new color scheme.

Did those cutouts. Ain't the best job but it works. I don't have an exacto knife, but I had a blade for it so.
I think I need a new body reamer, or unless the one I have now is junk, because its a cheapo amazon one.
Well since we did those cutouts, hopefully the truck doesn't parachute as much, and in the air is more controllable (like the front won't point up) Half of that I think its because of this the catching air, and the weight bias of my truck, because the rear is super heavy. Trying to think of ways for weight reduction, or adding weight in the front.

At the moment I am waiting on this Losi (TLR8061) precut body. It will be the first body I get to use an airbrush on, so looking forward to that. Sadly, I just learned the Horizon doesn’t expect it to ship until February. Favorite? Not really. Just the one that indicates it will fit a 22S SCT.

Looping back to this thread…I finally cancelled the order for this Losi body last week. I am tired of getting a different answer from the (large) supplier who will remain nameless because I am (too) nice.

Now it’s time to check out what y’all are using and liking.

Thanks. I wanted to go intricate with the paint but this simple design was enough taping and masking and careful cutting to kill anybody. It was all spray paint no airbrushing. I do enjoy painting. I’m happy with the results. You never know what something will look like until it’s finished in the color you choose, the rendering of this one had odd colors and I wish every manufacturer would show more photos with different paint jobs.

The light bar has held up well, I just reinforce the body with the flex seal brand of glue/caulking and it has been fine. It’s a mytrick RC. Rated for 5v but has been running on 6V without any issues and it doesn’t get hot, warm but not hot.
