Strongest body clips

I started racing an Associated SC7 about a month and a half back. This thing has a habit of turning body clips into pretzels. My Traxxas clips seem a bit wimpy. I have some thicker ones that I just picked up off the track that are working much better. Who out there is making robust body clips that can hang with this level of abuse?

Are you using the 90deg bend Traxxas clips? If so, I'd switch to the straight version as they're less likely to snag in a crash.

the thickets beefiest clips iv ever gotten my hands on came with my XXXT 25+ years ago. so maybe look at Losi or TLR?

I've been moving to traxxas heavy duty body clips (TRA3934), they are much beefier than the normal clips.

Tekno has always made stout body clips. I've missed the triple and smacked the pole that is next to it mid air...

I think Tekno body clips are the best. I run them on my 15lb Kraton.

You guys speaketh the truth

They are 1.6mm thick. Some 1/10 scale body post holes may not be too accommodating though.
I must be getting too old as they are almost too strong with their grasping power. To combat that...

I have been doing this trick for awhile now. Fuel line covered zip ties around the body clip for a “pull tab”.
- wrap a ziptie around the clip.
- either clip down the tail to your preference or leave it long for the next step .
- cut a length of tube and slide it onto the tail of the ziptie.
- take a new ziptie and run it down to the end of the fuel line and snip its tail completely off. (Didn’t get a photo of this step)

You now have a nice set of body clips to hopefully not lose somewhere. You could also do a bright colored fuel line that is a solid...

Tekno body clips vs MT48 2.0 at full speed doing flips and cartwheels!

Bent one and lost one as they broke through the lexan. I think I need to put a shorter body on this thing.
