Electrics SUCK!!!

I dunno, I think the best way to make an electric fast is to put a novarossi sticker on the body and a NOS sticker...that should give at least 2 hp to the motor

Hate to admit it, but........

I have both of the Maxx's and if money was no object, a dual equipped brushless E-Maxx will flat out spank any nitro setup you can think of. Don't ge me wrong, I like them both and they each have their own place in the hobby, but when it comes to pulling or flat out speed, the brushless guys win every time. I like the plug and play the electric offers, but nothing sounds or smells like a nitro machine. In the dirt I like nitro. Deep down inside many of us like it when things don't always go right, that way we get to tinker on it and get to play crew chief. Electrics don't offer that level of mechanics that the nitros do. So choose your weapon, but choose carefully. And for those out there that think the nitro's run time is longer, well, think again. Lithium battery technology is trickling down and runs time for the electrics could push the one hour run time on a single charge. Have fun either way.

the only good electric is a dual brushless e-maxx. too much power for a megatech chassis. seen one snapped after haitting a wall cause it couldnt steer

From what one of my friends a single brushless motor in an e-maxx was more than enough power. I think 2 would be insane!!!

I'm sure someone said this earlie but Ill say it again because NoFx is pissing me off.

Electrics are superior to nitro in many ways most people just dont admit it. Electrics are hitting the 100mph marks just behind HPI I REPEAT HPI's 101mph Super Nitro. Electrics are lighter, and capable of heigher RPM's. They also are way superior in the handling department. The only reason nitro is still here is because of the realisticness of the smoke and the engineering and he Engines itself. People are naturally drawn to that over the "slow" and quiet electrics.

The only way electrics suck is having to wait to chage batteries.
I'd love to have a brushless E-Maxx though. So many ponies!!! Maybe someday I'll convert my T-Maxx. :jet:

Or you could make a hybrid electric/gas T/E-Maxx! That would be a project and a half. Youd need one of those stick radios...damn.

You mean you dont like your radio shack RC? Actually, with the right setup, you could make it pretty fast. I myself have no experience with electrics, but there are guys at my LHS that claim that they could keep up with most nitros out there. Who am I to say they are not telling the truth. Just bring it...

In a race with professional drivers I have not seen a nitro driver be able to beat the guys in pro stock truck or pro stock buggy.....but at our local tracj Matt Francis does race there from time to time so the caliber of driver does make a difference

Nothing like waking up with Nitro in your cup!!!! Electric's for girls!!:burp:

So Cliff Lett, Mark Pavidis, Matt Francis, Mike Swauger, and David Spashett are all girls? (All of the aforementioned are world champions of electrics and could drive circles around you and your nitro cars/trucks

i dont know who any of those people are, so i can't say wether there guys or girls or both. i just know that if this new brushless stuff with these lipoly whatever batterys are what people are saying they are i will be one broke a$$ son of a b!@ch as soon as i see someone running a dual brushless that hauls ass and pulls stumps for one hour....becuase i know i will want one!!! (not only that imagine coming home if you work second shift and bashing in the street at 2 am while all the neighbors are dreaming of cheeseburgers and everything is cool) yeah i think my addiction has progressed from "nitro" to "R/C......crap!

or you could dump the batterys ang 160cc of nitro:flamer: just a sugjestion!! lol i have one electric and i know it will hang with nitros but I've had a few rich kids who think nothing of the hobby dump 600$ into a stadium truck or something and said he could hang with nitro so i started up the t and showed him some exaust fumes lol

LMAO!!! They could be girls but i dont know for sure. My post has nothing to do with wich is faster or who can drive in circles its simply a love for nitro power.

 :sniper: :tank:

I run a nitro as well (RC10GT) and I honestly think electric is a lot more fun as nitro engines are just a pain in the a$$

What track do all these guys race at in the S.F. bay area? You are naming a bunch of SoCal dudes. Those guys can be seen as locals at Hemet from what I understand.

Let me re-phrase Nitro cars are just a pain in the ass compared to electric and the fact that the speed record is held by an electric car negates the whole argument that nitros are faster which they are clearly not in the hands of a accomplished driver.

BTW I qualified 7th for the A-Main in pro stock buggy last night and placed 3rd coming from the back of the field so I am in a very good mood today.
