The timer on my Neon outdoor sign went out and I need to replace it.
I wanted to find the same timer but couldn't.

I have no idea what wires to hook up where. Here is all the info one may need to help me but i can provide whatever is needed.

Here is the timer that is in now.
I do know that the 2 little wires, one on the first and one on the posts are the timer power. The other 3 larger ones are from the sign and the circuit breaker.

Is the voltage going to the sign (coming from the panel) 120 Volts?

I would sujest getting an electrician to do this one for you, Ed.

I know you are probably fully capable of doing it yourself and all, but if is a comercial sign, it is probably running on 210 current wich as you know is very dangerous. Pay someone the forty bucks to risk THIER life.

Its all 110V
The power is coming from the circuit breaker.(The white wires on poles 1 and 2)

The larger 3 wires White, black, and red go to the sign.

45.00 gets the guy to answer the phone. 120.00 for a commercial house call then $95.00 per hour with a minimum of 1 hour.

By the time he drags his tools in then takes his 15 minute union brake, I'm looking at 250.00 to get it done.

for half of that $250,you'll get a non union break, somebody who has no idea what there doing, and are willing to shock themselves till they get it right of fixed.

10 minutes on the phone with Ratzo....Priceless.
Issue resolved.

Sweet. glad to hear you got it all worked out. I still woulda liked to see SOMEONE get shocked.

I've been hit with 220v before. It sucked ass. I was working at a carwash and one of our vaccumes had a quarter jam. I did everything I was supposed to do except unplug it. I had the shakes for an hour!

I found the load wire thanks to Ratzo.
I touched it and had a load in my pants.
Priceless :D
Then theres Master Card to get it done right the first time.

Now if I can figure out why the clock keeps going out during the day.

I thought it was 120v then 240v then 480v??? When did all this stuff change around? Now its different or something?
