Hey guys, I am usually pretty good at cad, but I'm stumped right now. I am trying to create a 1:1 replica of my '95 Chevy blazer 4x4, and I found a model of it online. Problem is, its not meant for 3d printing. Its for video game software. I tried a step converter so I could edit it in cad, but it only converts it to an stl. And with the stl, its a mesh, and not a solid object I can edit. The CAD I am using is On shape, and I used freecad to try and convert the stl to a step with their built in software to no avail. If anyone has any better ideas on how to go about this, please let me know!

Learn to use Meshmixer. It's free from Autodesk.

My computer wont let me download if for some reason, so for the time being is there any chance you could help me out and fix it for me?
I don't work with STL's. I just know I managed to modify a file in Meshmixer a long time ago, and it was a pain. What you are trying to do requires skills I definitely don't have in mesh editing programs.

Try Blender. It will open STL's too, and I am sure there is a way to convert it to a surface model, which I could convert to a solid model and edit.
