Still learning with this RS4 3 RTR,,,,,,,I broke in the motor as per the HPI manual, so I started to adjust the needle as described in also in the manual, but I evidently went too much one way or the other. The car died and I have not been able to re-start,,,,,,anyone know of a general starting place for the needle where I can begin working on ???? oh, I have also turned it clockwise til it closed and slowly eased it back open, but still can't find the sweet spot,,,,,,any help would be greatly appreciated??

Welcome to the hobby and welcome to RCNT!

In your case, I suggest you return the neddles to the factory default / break-in settings. Then, you should try tuning it again. If you still can't get the car to start, it's possible that you went too lean blew out the glow plug. You can test this by removing the glow plug and sticking it in the igniter. It should burn a very hot red. If it doens't glow, you may need a new one. If it glows dim, you igniter may need a charge or the plug may be damaged.

Do a search on this forum (little link on the top of the page) and look for:

tune engine

Tuning a Nitro engine is the biggest obsticle for those new to the hobby. You should find a couple of thread dedicated to the topic.

Good luck,
Rob
