Hey my pap can't access his computer in the other room so i brought my laptop up here so he can check his email, but the problem is he uses outlook express. I was wondering how he could check his email on my computer.

It sounds to me like it's an ISP hosted pop3 acount type. You need the pop3 server name and the SMTP server name, account name and password as well.

It is a POP3. Does that mean it can only be used with outlook?

Right, but i mean i can't go to a website and sign on there instead of setting it up with an email client

try looking at the ISP's website for a webmail link. All the the ones overhere has it.

Go to whichever search engine you want, and if you have your Email through AT&T, type in Mail.att.net then just go the route and provide your Email addy and password.

The only free email I can't use on Outlook express, 2003 or even windows mail is yahoo mail. They require you to upgrade to their plus version. No thanks.

I use gmail and home email was verizon and now is a Time Warner account. No problems..

There is something else going on with the ISP or PC/Desktop.
