Does anyone know how I could install a rx battery into a tmaxx 3.3?

Don’t know what I need to do this because sick of running stock battery tray or how could I put a real rechargeable battery instead into a tmaxx 3.3 nitro

Get a new rx/tx

Get a receiver that can be powered by a individual lipo or life battery with a futaba servo / jr plug, but check the operating voltage of that receiver first.

If your talking about putting a rechargeable battery in your transmitter (traxxas tq or tqi?) than that takes a little modifications to do.

Does the tmaxx from the factory use standard AAs or AAAs to power the receiver? Maybe rechargeable AAs or AAAs can be helpful?

I know with some nitros, some are powered by rechargeable lipo or life packs, or nimh packs, standard AAs, or rechargeable AAs.

I don't know much about nitro but I know someone would chime in soon

It uses double aa I want to make it like the revo and slayer pro that use rx battery packs like these but flat https://m.traxxas.com/products/parts/batteries/rx_battery/3037-RXpack-5C-hump-23A-1200mAh

Maybe something like these?

One is 6v, the other is 4.8v. I would opt to run 6v just for servo speed and torque

Traxxas receivers don't like anything above 6v so just keep that in mind. (or 6.6, can't remember)
Supposedly this fits tmaxx 3.3 it says i think it might fit in stock battery box idk bc there is a label for charging like this would fit maybe idk how big this is https://traxxas.com/products/parts/batteries/rx_battery/3037-RXpack-5C-hump-23A-1200mAh

It fits. It fits inside of your AA battery compartment when you remove the AA battery holder.
Thank you just didn’t wanna waste the money and not know I thought it was like that

Dint read all of the above . only ops 1st post. you can buy a lipo that will fit in battery box. then get a ubec that is either adjustable or will supply the voltage yor servos can take.. add correct connections between both. run ubec wire to rx your set. then use a lipo charger to charge lipo. follow lipo rules.

Yeah, a NiMH 5 cell 2/3A hump pack should fit in the battery box. Not sure if the t-maxx has a port like the revo for charging though, so might have to make a notch in the box for a pigtail to hang out so you can charge it without having to take the box off each time.

I wouldn't get traxxas batteries...There are better ones out you can get.
Any 6v hump pack will fit in the stock bat. box.

Or if the one you get doesn't fit can zip tie the lipo to the front shock tower. Or strong velcro either one so you can remove and recharge.

But the lipo will last alot longer then the AA batteries do thays for sure
