Does A K&N Filter Do Good Or Harm?

My (Sponge Type Filt) Seems To Get To Dirty To Fast. I Was Told That The K&N Filter Breaths Better = More Speed But May Suck In More Dirt. Dont Want To Ruin An Engine. Please Help.

From what I have heard, but HAVE NEVER USED that K&N arn't that good. I think Motor Saver's are better.

yeah, I would go with a Motor Saver filter too. I use them on my Savage and Tmaxx.

Well I think K&N would be good filters, but the problem is that they're not meant for r/c cars.

So like everyone else said, stick with a motorsaver.

Motorsaver is the best way to go. There's a dual element already there (outter screen and filter) add a third if you get the outter foam as well.

The problem with the K&N is that the same gauze that is used in the 1:1 cars is used for an r/c. The holes are big to allow "better flow" but also allow the smaller particles to pass through ... BAD FOR US!

Secondly, when cleaning and reoiling the gauze with their fluids, there is a tendency to over oil it and that will cause varnishing issues in your carb. Same goes for the 1:1, but that's a different story since the MAF sensor is what get's varnished.

Stick to the motorsaver. It'll be cheaper in the end and is easier to tell if cleaning is necessary.
