Discussion thread for 2009 RCNT Bash

Depending on the actual date, St louis is good for me. You left out a couple of good things to do though, they have a great Zoo and Six flags right there a few mile west on I-44. They have a few good coasters there and a water park next door. I can vouch for the Science Museum, it's cool,and the Arch is cool. A lot of other family stuff I can't remember, it's been a few years since I was there.

I TOTALLY expect you to be there

Six Flags and the Zoo are on the list too... they're just down a bit further. IF we do end up in St. Louis I know for a fact I'll be taking the family to the zoo. Chase LOVES the zoo.

Um... about the Science Museum. If it's the one I am thinking of on I-64 getting there might be a chore. I-64 is closed between I-270 and I-170 for major repair (one section is just a giant hole in the ground). I don't remember if the museum is between the two or past I-170 toward downtown but either way it might require some city street navigation to get there. Just an FYI...

The Zoo and Six Flags are definitely on the list of places to go with the family. I'd also like to see if we can squeeze in a night out at the casinos... IF we do make St Louis the city.

I'm not much of a gambling man but I'd kick it for an evening. as far as getting to the science museum (more than likely something I'd take the fam to) I have GPS

For years I didn't get one. Hell, I am a truck driver--I spent 17 years navigating myself across this country--I don't NEED a GPS. Then I got one. I will never be without one agaain.

I hope all you guys have fun when the time comes. I won't be going after all. I found a fridge on sale and things escalated. So now I have no kitchen.

Wife: But honey, it's too big for our kitchen...

Man: But it is SUCH a great deal. Don't worry, we can trim a cabinet to fit.

Six months later...

Wife: When are we going to have a kitchen??? I will settle for a cabinet and a sink at this point!

yeah, I don't have a traditional GPS like a Garmin or whatever but I have a turn by turn nav on my cell phone which works very well.. one of the better applications on the Samsung Instinct. We've used it a couple times already with success.

Sorry to hear you can't make it Neobart. It woulda been cool to meet an RCNTer from abroad.

Unless the bash is within about 100 miles from Tampa I'm pretty much out of luck. I think I'll be able to come next year though (I'll be 18).

You know, what sucks is that if this had been offered up two years ago I'd have been all over it since I lived in Leavenworth, Kansas.

hey guys i really want to come and kirkwood looks like a great place and i love the track...but i live in thunder bay ontario and it's a 16 hour drive from here and i'm only 14 in april so it could be hard to get by the parents... just throwing it out there but is there any way it could be in august betweenthe 17th and the 27th because that is when me and my family take vacation and its the only time i could come..as for location kirkwood is very good.

Actually we were talking the third quarter which is July (too hot), August, and September so you MAY get your wish...

I think August would be the best month.

And the week of the 17th would be the third week in August...

When would all the folk's kids have to be back in school?

actully i think i may be able to talk the parents into taking the vacation early so any time in the summer months(july, august) but i can't do september cause i got to got to school and my parents wouldn't let me skip for somthing like this.

up here in ontario we dont go back to school till either the 1st or 8th of september but i dont no about you guys in the U.S. but ya any time in august before the 27th(so i have time to take the senic route home lol) i think would be perfect.
