Sorry you can't make it Joe, you're on my want to meet list too.

Seems like several can do St. Louis, but driving distance really isn't a factor for me. Just sayin, in case another location is decided upon. I'm still going to try like hell to make it!

ok thanks alot guys hopfuly i'll see you all there as long as i can make it...what kind of events are you guys planing...if i'm able to come depending on whats happening there i will probobly be bringing a mgt 8.0, a 2008 revo platnum, a xray xb808, and a xray xt8 unless xray comes out with a new truggy before then...but i'll only bring the ones that'll get used like if theres somthing that there wont be an event to use it in i wont bring it.

Unless someone has other ideas I don't see this being all that structured. More of a bash than a class race type thing. I am sure there will be a little bit of everything...

Well, we havn't gotten into any discussion of what exactly we'll do, but it is a bash session so that's what majority of our time will be I imagine. I'm sure we'll hold some informal races just for S&G's and of course bragging rights :) You know.. loser owes me a beer type of stuff :)

I'll bring every vehicle that I have that will run in dirt. TMaxx, EB4 S3, Lazer ZX5, GT2 and RC18T. Hell, I'll even bring my Micro DT to mess around with.

ok then if i can make it whenever its going to be i'll bring everythin i have and will be getting i was just woundering cause i dont want to haul around to much stuff i don't need..there's only so much room in my 27 foot motor home lol

One thing that would be helpful for those of us who would be flying in: Someone who lives in/near the place we decide on who would be willing to let us ship our rigs to them.

Well that right there is a grand idea :)

Randy, can you help the cause buddy? I know you've stated your situation depends on the date. Would you be willing to accept shipments?

Sidenote: Randy is Racer1966 and I have complete confidence in him. I've been a member of this forum for 5 years and I know good cookies from bad and Randy is a great guy. We've done business together multiple times and he has my complete trust. He deserves everybody elses too.

Oh, I definitly game if this forms to be!
I'll be driving from Rhode Island (google maps says its 18 hours... I'll do it in 13 lol)
Late July/Early August would be prime. I'll see if my friend (who I run with) is up for it.... allready dropped him a message on myspace.....
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

oh most def. I'll definitly be showing up with him or not... wifey says she'll take a road trip... don't know how the hellions will hold up tho (3x boys 7,4,3) for 15 hours in a car.... 1.5 hours is allmost murder!

4 and 3... ouch. I wish the best of luck to you on that :) heh. By that time my son will be 4 and my honey pot will be about 15mos.

depending on dates, Id be willing to be a shipping ferry (not fairy) for RCs. yeah, I know I'm a ways away but i plan on driving anyway. have we come up for anything other than august september?

so far i'm in. talked to the wifey and was issued parole for the weekend. i might bring my 4yr (he'll be 4.5 then) but that depends on family vacation plans. barring any family issues i should be there...

Man, gonna be a 9hr drive for me.
Wouldn't be a problem with the 'ol lady. She will almost go anywhere I want, as long as there is something for her to do too.

Things just tight right now. Don't figure I'll make it.

Think it is killer that you guys are trying to work it around the family.
All of the bash's that I have seen were almost guys only. Trying to work it around the wives and kids, think this is gonna be a go!

Good luck and be sure to post pics.

That's great Gabe!

The only thing is... and I know we havn't begun to discuss this yet.. "weekend". The Dirtburners club run their racing on Saturday so that's pretty much out for us... unless... we want to jump in and participate in organized club racing. However, I don't think that's really what were goin for. Obviously, we're trying to gear this to be family oriented and leaning more toward a vacation with r/c perks rather than just a bash. Why don't you just bring the whole family down? At any rate, it'd be killer to have you there buddy.:thumbup:

I'm not writing off anybody, even those that speculate they won't be able to make it :) Summer is quite a ways off and things can change, especially with the anticipation. I think we'll see you in St. Louie :)

Another option is running the RC day during the middle of the week when there is little/no racing going on. Maybe hit up Dirtburners and ask if we can rent the track out for one day.

I'm also glad more people are already deciding they can make it. NCNitro and Digger I hope things get less tight in the summer so you can attend.

Thanks for the nice words! I like chocolate chip cookies the best, white macadamian nut are good too! Not sure what cookies have to do with me being a great guy

The only issues I have with having rigs shipped to me are how to haul them. When we travel my wife packs everything but kitchen sink. Right now we have a Grand Caravan, but with only 3 of us I could ditch the rear seat and it shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand we have been thinking of downsizing vehicles. If there's anyway I can, of course I'll do it!

So are we pretty much set on St Louis?

for those of us that need to get time off work to travel, the middle of the week doesn't sound like a good idea. I plan on leaving say, thursday night and getting there somtime friday. then taking monday off for travel on sunday-monday. according to google, I have a 19 hour and 5 minute drive to make.

maybe we can call up the track and reserve it for the weekend. were there any campgrounds near the track? after paying for that much fuel and food, I'm not sure i wanna buck up for a hotel too.
