This weekend I wanted to put some wheel weights on my 1/18 TRX-4M Land Rover. I had an extra set for my 1/24 SCX-24's so thought I would use them. Well DUH! I forgot the Traxxas has a slightly larger axle. Easy fix, just drilled the center hole a tad bit bigger and it worked fine. Everything fits great and didn't have to order anything special. I was worried I wouldn't drill it out straight but the bit pretty much just followed the existing hole. :thumbs-up:

Pics or it didn't happen. 😄🤪

Would you settle for an artists rendition of the afore mentioned event? 🤔

Fog, you should have marked that "not safe for work"

I hope HR did not track me to this image.
If your work is ok with you browsing an RC forum... I think you're fine 😉

@Doom! being that you only removed a small amount of material, just drilling the holes bigger is perfectly ok. But a reamer would be the optimal tool to use. Drill points are what keeps a drill bit centered, and with the hole already there, the drill point isn't doing its job. Reamers are meant to open existing holes. Just an fyi 😉

That being said, a small metric set of reamers comes in VERY handy in this hobby.

They are especially useful for reaming out the pin holes in a-arms and bulkheads.

Good to know, I'll add them to my Amazon list. :thumbs-up:
