So, how did you cheat and not get caught? 😜 congrats! Practice, practice, practice.
Clearly it was his "friend's borrowed transponder"!!!
I woulda caught those beeps when he was on the other side of the track if I was there!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Late but - WOW BUDDY!!! GREAT JOB!!!

Update! Not a race or practice day though.

Haven't been to the track for a couple weeks. Here is my upcoming plans.

Nov 2nd - Going up and checking The Factory out for their open house and free practice day - with the Buggy, Mini B and possibly the slash.

Getting carpet stuff and cars ready for the winter season. All the old guys from the old track have a plan set, mostly going to be racing at First State hobbies at their new bigger carpet track, which is 96x50 is the size.

B74:
- Getting new chassis protector (since they are strict about that)
- Cleaning the car up from the dirt, as I'm sure they won't like that on their clean carpet track lol
- New front sway bar mount
- Getting my fuzz bite tire set out of my tire bin

Mini B:
- Opening up the transmission and see if I can fix the issue I am having with one of the wheels locking up under throttle, once fixed....
- Planning to hopefully get a Mini B or a Mini class going back up again since the Open class at Underground last summer did pretty well, I got about 3 people at The Factory willing to do a class, but it will be either a Spec / Stock Brushed and Brushless class, no mod. So Ill be sticking with my dynamite 2in1 6000kv system in that car and sending it. Maybe hopefully a mod or open class in the future, but probably won't happen. Ill also see on what the people at First State Hobbies wants to do (I know they made their schedule already but to me, racing Minis is fun, because I learned alot from it and continues to help me improve my driving in 10th scale)

Slash and Rustler:
- Unsure if they would allow me to run them on their tracks, since they are so heavily modified and have high powered motors, but if I get the "ok" to run them, I will get new wheels for the rusty (for my existing tires I have for it) and new wheels/tires for the slash.

Also stay tuned for more, might have something exiting in the future if funds and if I can find anything going on works ;)

Edit: Also will make a few stops in at the local dirt track during the winter just to see whats going on down there but I have been needing some carpet for the past year or so lol.

It's October, so obviously it's time to get into the Christmas spirit!
Got something for @gragner66 as well 😄

I had those since I build my car lol

Buggies have mirrors? 🤣😆
Ok. I thought I remembered you looking for a set of gauges for something like a week ago maybe? I dunno.
I misplaced and then found a set that I'd just recently got. If you needed them I thought they might help you out.

Yes, but only RACING buggies have mirrors! So you can see your competition!!! 😎

Yay, finally able to get to a track! Practice day by myself @ The Factory. First time here. Cool place. Offroad track on the second floor. Mini hobbyshop on the main. Dirt oval track in the basement. Pitting all around. Building is also shared with a small factory for I guess furniture? That part is only open during the week day, the track(s) is open on the weekends and weeknights, for the winter.

Fun layout. They are changing it come Monday though. Small track, 13.5 in a 4WD buggy is just enough. So I can see why they don't allow for mod, unless the driver turns down their throttle.

Nice semi wall ride, and steps. Grip was not as high but it is perfect. Looks like/seems like office carpet. Doesn't have that high traction like black crc or eos. But fuzz bites, swaggers, and mini pins work well.

Buggy: Was throwing down 11 to 12 second lap times. Was having wheel falling off issue in the front. Probably because that wheel has a stripped hex. Gonna get new ones and acetone these ones off since the tires are only 2 track days old.

Mini B: Perfect for this track! Pretty fun too. Was having some issues. It would just turn off randomly. I know its either the esc wire into the rx, or the power leads into the esc. Its the ole dynamite 2in1. Gonna swap back in the better amazon cheaper combo I have and try to smoosh in the flysky receiver in there somehow lol. Didn't get time to paint the body as it was raining yesterday.

Slash: New tires did well! Like I said in one of my other threads, I didn't glue the outer sidewall since it was too stiff to glue up. It held up fine. **No tires or wheels were harmed or falling off in the process of running** Had to turn down my throttle to like 70 percent lol. Traction rolling around the sweeper is normal. Ill fix it someday with some tuning once I feel like it lol.

Rustler: Did well! Like said with the slash, turned down my epa to about 70 percent to manage it on this small track.

Good track day with @hood52 . First time here with the new layout and wood jumps. Got dead last but idc 🤣. Broke my esc fan during heat 1. Didn't run a fan for the rest of the day. I'm a bit undergeared and after a 6 minute race the esc was only 105 so I'm fine. (That rhymed 🫠 )

Also saw this cool Kyosho.

And then big pizza for lunch. All you can eat for 8 bucks a person. Was yummy too.

Also if you haven't read my racing another class thread. Going to be picking up a dialed (but used) 22 5.0 (semi elite) from a old race buddy, tomorrow afternoon. Plan is to keep this new 2wd for carpet and keep my existing associated 4wd for the dirt. Plans subject to change. If I change the 2wd buggy setup to more of a indoor dirt setup.

Also helped a kid fix his slash. The pillow ball and rod end were wearing out. Flipped the screw and nut the other way so the nut is on top of the ball / rod end on the steering hub. Just a temporary fix until he gets new turnbuckles.

Dead last? Good thing there were no talent scout there. 🤣 glad you had a good day, I know you've been jonesing for some track time. :thumbs-up:
Do you mean there were "no-talent" scouts there looking for racers lacking talent? Or there were not any scouts there looking for talent? Or do you simply mean there were scouts there with no talent to speak of? 😁

When you listed the options for cars for you to buy, you made NO mention of the Ultima!!!
Go buy THAT!!! 🤣
Curious if you saw it run and what you think of an old school car. 👍🏻

When I watched the 1st vid, it was thhe mini running and I thought, huh, track doesn't look so small...
Then I opened the Rustler and I saw the light! 🤣🤣🤣

Your lines look clean with mini! I KNOW you could get that Rustler tuned in and you could drive the SNOT out of that buggy!
There was a youtube build up of one that a guy was winning with against RC10's etc.
Nice job!!! 😎
